This is the only prolonged "Postman's Knock" I've ever seen - the top players now seem to prefer a floating white, moving it back near the red every few shots. I guess the difficulty with this is getting it in the exact spot on the cushion to start with!

fascinating ! are there any epic matches on youtube you recommend watching? im a snooker player and run a snooker discord with over 500 members who would all love to watch this legend play an epic match

The difficulty is not in getting the white to the cushion. The difficulty is keeping it there. The smallest mistake will move the white to the left or right. Also, beating the monotony of playing the same shot again and again also proves difficult I guess.

great upload, much appreciated

Master class. The white ball is pinned to the top cushion for so long. Very few top players can do this. In the postman's knock they prefer a floating white and lose position sooner or later.

Dear Bernard / Trev He is chalking regularly but you are unable to see as it is out of frame , while doing it. If you watch his hands after he plays the shot , you will notice that he is chalking. Regards

This is nice. Would also love to see the crucial moment of Russell's 1137 during the same tournament.

Correction. Mike Russell did not make the 11137 break in the same champion ship 1n 1973.at that year. Mike Russell was very young player at that period.

It’s called billiards or English billiards. The goal is to contact the two other balls using your cue ball known as a canon which is worth 2 points and a scratch of inoff with a red ball is worth 3 points and a inoff with the opponents ball is worth 2 points potting the red ball which is respotted is worth 3 points

totally ridiculous--he makes this look so easy ,I could punch him in the throat!! I am half decent at snooker/billiards , but run out of position after about 3 damn shots!#

What a spectacularly stupid sport.
@TheChandigarh123453 жыл бұрын
I guess you have never played it. Its quite intricate and difficult and helps build a players positional play. Very helpful for snooker players.

@@TheChandigarh12345 Yes I get that. Still stupid.
@venomag93506 ай бұрын
@TheChandigarh12345 "spectacularly" stupid == stupid as a spectacle, stupid to a spectator. Obviously it takes skill but it's boring to watch. That's actually part of the reason why snooker came to be so popular
