they don't have the consistency of nvidia, one gen is mah, one is good, one is awful, and so on... the vast majority of people don't read the review and just listen to the seller, and the seller maybe know half the truth about what he sell and is based a lot on the former generation... so NV is just a safe bate for most to recommend. and people who do read the reviews and in to computers will just bite the bullet and pay 50-100$ for better power and better DLSS/RT...

@@bhaveshsonar7558 RDNA1 okish, no high end, no upscale options ( when lunched), no RT, i would rather have a 2060 over 5700XT today. RDNA 2 ok performance, bad RT, mediocre upscaler. some good card in the line like the 6800XT and 6700XT. RDNA 3 mah, they invest so much in the multi chip thing that they forgot to work on the actual architecture. i chose the 4070ti over the 7900XT. RDNA 4 finally fix the RT ( looks like it will be better but not as good as NV), still mediocre upscaler. oops no high end card again... what consistency? of being consistently mediocre ? and that is only the last 4 generations.

@@gametime4316 Truth in it's full form, unfortunately no matter how many AMD fans jump at me for always picking NVIDIA regardless of gen or build or purpose of the computer I am building, one thing always stays true, AMD's technology and implementation is awful, their RT performance is subpar and practically nonexistant pre-RDNA4 which still hasn't been properly benchmarked and ever since RDNA1's release they've been nothing but glorified gaming only graphics cards. Now imagine me buying an AMD card when I work fulltime with HLSL and CUDA... Career suicide if I ever decide to take workdays for home! They'd start calling me mid compile to ask if I died on the desk from waiting so long.

I'd expect 890M to reach 1060/RX580 comfortably or even 3050 6GB. because 780M was supposed to match desktop 1650 already. And 890M was supposed to be like 20 to 30 percent faster than 780M.

nah.. price wise you could buy at least half a dozen or so 1650 for the cost of one Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 - it's good for APU's going forward, but they need to be cheap to take over the Intel UHD as one of the most populous APUs on the market.

impressive in some game not so much in others. i think the games the 890 have a nice lead is games that the 4GB kill the 1650 or games that mesh shaders are used. just to put things in perspective the 1650 is about as strong as the RX 6400, the RX 6400 has the same core config as the 680M (12 CU RDNA2) but with out the infinity cache and GDDR6. is it the best APU out there, easy yes... could it been even better ? i think so ( with 16/32MB infinity cache and or a 196 bit bus)

Just picked up a 780m via 8840HS 2-in-1 and it games like it has a dGPU with no noticeable fan sound or visible vents of any kind. It literally appears to be passively cooled for all anyone who isn't tech savvy would know. Anyway, the advancement in iGPUs in the last few years has just been insane. It's something AMD's Always pushed really hard. I've been and remain here for it

AFMF 2 is much better than DLSS FG ever will be, it works on literally 100x the amount of games DLSS are in, while you can use DLSS in maybe 1~2% (that's being generous) of all games that ever existed, AFMF 2 works in around 70~80%, it works even in emulators now, there is no contest.
