And I like how Kitaro has a unique sprite for each of his sides since he lacks a left eye because when he was born,the blood banker that buried his mother's corpse (In which he crawled out of and dug through) threw him at the edge of a gravestone when Kitaro was crawling on his shoulder

水木しげる生誕80周年記念に発売されたソフト、妖魔大血戦 ゲーム好きでさらに鬼太郎ファンとしては手に入れたい一品だが プレミアついて3万円以上するとなるとさすがに手がでない 発売当時はそれほど鬼太郎ファンではなかったからなあ このソフトと同時にps2、ゲームボーイアドバンスでもソフトが発売された こちらの二作品は所有しているのだが、アドバンス版の方はもはや 妖魔大血戦並みにプレミア価格になっている ちなみにPS2版は今なら3000から4000円 これもなかなか値崩れしていないけど、まだ購入できる値段 鬼太郎ゲーム恐るべしですね

That's because it was Konami repurposing the Castlevania engine for other games. They did this a lot. Castlevania GB: Hunter x Hunter Kindan no Hihou SoTN PS1: GeGeGe no Kitarou PS1, Kaette Kita Cyborg Kuro-chan HoD/AoS GBA: GeGeGe no Kitarou GBA, Shaman King Master of Spirits 1/2 Same map, even similar bosses reused... Did you know even Namco reused the Klonoa game engine for some Nintendo DS games with Sergeant Frog?

If you want another like this by Konami, they did Kaette Kita Cyborg Kuro-chan for the PS1 around the same period. I would recommend Ganbare Goemon Space Pirate Akokingu as well and the other two 2D Goemon games, but it has a language barrier at some points and needs a FAQ.
