Hey Gehan and crew. This is coming from an old Anandian. You guys are awesome. I'm keen on seeing you further as more popular accomplished stand up comedians in the future. You might view comments made by a few fellow Anandians as just scathing attacks coming from immature dudes who can't take a joke. But do bear with me for my perspective. Ever since the Sinhala only initiative by SWRD, of which you guys are so critical of, English became more or less a privilege rather than a talent. Either you had to be born to an English speaking society or your parents should be wealthy enough to improve your English by some other means like extra classes etc. Doesn't it dawn on you that for some people the shortfall in English alone could be the cause for being denied a job that they longed for. That's when the lack of English knowledge goes beyond a joke and becomes an issue to take offense in. One can always blame them for not attempting to improve their English eloquence but then again would you say that to Tamil adult who can't speak Sinhala ? For me it's just a joke but for another the scenario could be equivalent to ridiculing a blind man for his inability to see. I'm typing from my mum's youtube account btw.
