As Silver drops below $14 an ounce, as the XAU/XAG ratio tops all time highs at just over 105 to 1, as the economy takes a down spill blamed on the ''Corona Virus'', it seemed like a decent time to snag some silver :)

@5:12 those are simply oxidation marks, likely small holes in the plastic let air in and they blackened at those points. @6:18 half-truth take, when demand overwhelms our supply and we have limited recuperation ability with Covid issues, well premiums have to rise to make up for the lacking turnover of inventory volumes. If dealers sold off their inventory then at razor-sharp premiums they'ld likely be out of business by now. Kudos on your timing, that is one hell of a haul :)

I appreciate you taking the time to drop some education on me! I sorta thought y'all buy at a certain price and even if the spot plummets below that, you'd still need to make your money so you couldn't instantly drop your prices that low. I get the feeling there's a multitude of reasons that I have no idea about honestly. Thanks!

@@DustinTWilliams by price hedging inventories and physical positions, the largest bullion dealers can better protect themselves against sharp decreases in the spot price. This in turn means that they will be able to be more financially stable through market volatility and provide their customers with a more secure buying experience. On the other hand, dealers who do not utilize a proper and even mkt neutral price hedging strategy are faced with the risk of going bankrupt and becoming wiped out by a large spot price movements. Too they will often balk or underbid on customer selling backs depending on being too long in a rising market. Bottom line is, the professional dealers can last through secular bull and bear markets, over decades. Johnny come lately's, mom pop shop down the street, new private mint attempts, etc. Bull markets tend to spring up new start-up shops and private mints, bear markets cull them.

As for plummets as large as this past March reaching just under $10, I couldn't imagine many companies or mom&pop shops being able to let go of nearly any holdings and still make a profit even with good hedging. Basically a 50% cut. Everywhere I looked said Out of Stock when the day before they had plenty so I assumed companies couldn't sell at a loss, understandably of course. Good news is, we're at new ATH's on XAU and relative new highs for XAG. Thanks for your comments and insight!

Sweet! Look good for being scruffy IMO. Anything Geiger is selling for TOP dollar right now on ebay. I am a Geiger nut. I just saw that Apmex has a new 10 oz bar coming out that is made by Geiger so I will have to snatch some of those.

I love Geiger as well as just got in 100 oz Security line...but I'm not a fan of these long bars...hard to store.

Umm if silver goes to $1000 dollar people are going to buy , don’t be dumb the reason the price is there is people want then even at that price. Silver and Gold Are liquid you can sell it regardless but the thing is if the person who is going to buy will take advantage of you.
