Just purchased this amazing tree. I’m in zone 9b . This will be my first Maple as a specimen in the lawn near my patio. I am hoping it does well, I will be pushing the sun boundaries a little but I am hoping it will acclimate as the sun exposure could be a few hours more than it would like.

Thanks for the video guys! It really helps us customers sort out the overwhelming Japanese maple chooses. I had many Japanese maples in my NY 130 acres. Now retired in NC I’m starting again. My favorites are Autumn Moon, Full Moon, Sister Ghost and though not a Japanese maple but a hedge/tree maple - Carnival.

My first tree. I planted it last year. Was so amazed by the color. But as it grew this past year it turned green and only 2 years later has the new growth turned pink again. Is that normal? Or did something stress it out during the first year?

I just bought this and cannot wait to receive it!! I have a question: in Wisconsin zone 5, would it do well in part sun like 4-5 hrs? If not I can certainly plant it in full sun but then it will be in the front of my house and I won’t be able to enjoy it as much :) Thank you and this is the 6th one I buy from you guys!!! Typically the more pink the more shade but I have these in full sun in NC 6b and they have preformed great for me in full sun

I love the Golden Falls. I bought it summer last year and they have shown a lot of beautiful yellowish greenish leaves a few weeks ago. The latest blood good that I got have bloomed the burgundy leaves. The rising sun just started to open their leaves and flowers. I am so happy buying from mrmaple. I bought from our local nursery 4x of the cost and so far for 4 years, I have not been happy with those maple trees I bought locally.

I'm looking into buying a Geisha Gone Wild from you but I'm wondering if it will be a good pick for FULL SUN in a extra hot area of my yard in Oregon Zone 8b. Do you think Mikazuki or is Geisha Gone Wild the better pick for an area like that? I know you recommend Beni Shien too for heat tolerance too, will Geisha perform that well too?

Geisha Gone Wild is one of the very best variegated for sun. I’ve seen them doing great in zone 8 Oregon in full sun before

Awesome job with these videos fellas. You really capture the essence of these trees perfectly. I love seeing the large specimens and the closeups of the foliage. One tip, can you fix the sound in the mics? One of the microphones seems to get blown out and it’s really hard to hear sometimes.

Leave it outside and protect it if temperature goes down below 20 or inside the garage till temperature goes above 20 again! But do not bring it inside the house unless you placing it in a room where there is no heat at all... Another thing you can do is find another pot at least few gallons bigger then the one is in and just place it inside the big one with pot and everything for an extra protection and dig it with dry leaves all around it and on top to cover the whole inside pot!!! Hope it helps you.
