The jelly red on top is how they paint " cherry red " cars too!! It just gives extra depth to the color vs. a glittery red n top coat only. Lately they have been doing a cherry blue, (teah i heard it as cherry lol) car color and omg its gorgeous!!! I guess you can probably tell someone 🤭 has been listening to her hubby's car shows 😅. But it gave me painting inspiration!! 😊

I'd never have square shape cos the corners would drive me mad. I'll enjoy them on other people 😂

You can curve the corners. I think it's 'squoval'. That's what I use on mi e so I don't stab myself

I love the look of almond nails and I wear them occasionally but my everyday look is short square. I type a lot and cook every day and short square works best for me. I don’t have the sharp corners, I file just enough so they’re not sharp.

Have you tried short coffin shape? I think it looks better than the square because its more narrow looking

I think her nails look flat at the tips. Would it be possible to pinch to make them rounder?
@kitakhatАй бұрын
My nails are just like this. Narrow beds, high apex, deep c curve, stick cuticles. Overlay is a lot of work because the product shifts to the tip. I love how my apex is practically already built, but the weakest part is the sides. It's also hard to find gel tips that fit. They're often too flat.
@FortheBudgies3 күн бұрын
Why do you need overlays if your nails look like what overlays are trying to achieve? They sound like naturally gorgeous nails! Can't you just add color and look better than those of us with flat thin nails?

I tried short square nails once but the corners bothered me & made my nails look wider. also after 2-3 weeks the corners became softer and looked more round at the end! I actually think they look quite pretty on other people but it doesn’t work for me 😅

I have a question. I use hard gel to glue on soft gel full cover tips then I use hard gel on top to fix the structure. Is that bad? I’ve been doing it on myself and had no issues lol. -an aspiring nail tech
@NailcouАй бұрын
Not at all! Even though soft gel tips are called "soft", it's still a relatively hard product and is perfectly compatible with hard gel.

I’m used to short coffin shape and did x-short square for a change. I rounded the corners within 24 hours, the corners were annoying me to much. And the width of the square nails looks weird to be so I'm going back to coffin next time.

Sharp square nails are sooo in!!!!!! I’m in manicuring school and my teacher who is old school and so is one of me classmates and they HATE it! 😂 but since the square nails are so in everyone ignores their advice and they seem very old-school and out of date and out of style 😬😬😬😬 so i guess it’s better to pretend you’re into the trend 😂

Everyone please listen. These nails are not short. They are long. Anything longer is getting into extremes. That is absolutely wonderful too, but please stop calling these short nails. Most humans on the planet would consider the final results long beautiful nails that were impractical for everyday activities. I could not do my job or go to the gym or garden with these so they are not short.

I know it's the clients choice, but her nails were more beautiful with their natural shape and length. These aren't short at all! Your work is gorgeous of course but it's sad someone with gorgeous natural nails wants to change them. I pay to have my weak flat nails as strong and pretty as her natural nails

I think it's in our nature - those who have straight hair, always want to do curls, and the opposite - people with curly hair like to straighten them up. I guess it works the same with nails 🙂

The colour and design at the end look great, but as someone who’s never had a manicure before I found the whole process nightmarish to watch.
