Great idea! What is the difference between rubbing plates and rubber stamps?
@thekathrynwheel5 жыл бұрын
Hi Judi. They are larger, deep etched for a good print, and also 'backwards' so that the print comes out the right way.

I love the stuff you do Kate, quick question - do you let all the paint dry before you put the final layer on and pull the print?
@GelPress5 жыл бұрын
Yes. 'Touch dry' as Kate says. :)

I am trying to find these texture plates to purchase and have come up dry. Could you please leave information to help? Thank you
@GelPress5 жыл бұрын
We just Googled - carabelle studio art printing plates - and got a lot of results! Of course it depends on where you live too. Try that?
@annbrockman30865 жыл бұрын
Thank you...I researched more and did find them...and ordered 3 of them!

I have a question. I've been playing with my gel plate today and a lot of time when I pulled the print the paper stuck to the paint in places and ripped, any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I tried both copy paper and 200 GSM card stock and it happened to both.

Hi, Sam. First, are you using a Gel Press plate? We want to make sure and give you the correct answer as our plate is the original formula and will react differently than some of the later knock-off versions.
@sampalmer78835 жыл бұрын
@@GelPress oooh - now thats interesting, I thought I was, as I have your brand in the 3x5 and the 6x6 inch versions - today I was using my 8x10 inch but I just checked and that is a Gelli Arts one. So maybe its the plate?
@GelPress5 жыл бұрын
@@sampalmer7883 Well, let's be more specific. Do you still have the insert? Does it have English language only on the front? Or three translations?
@sampalmer78835 жыл бұрын
@@GelPress It has 3 translations - looks like I've brought an inferior copy :-(
@GelPress5 жыл бұрын
@@sampalmer7883 Your words. :) Prior to that updated packaging, we were manufacturing that brand. We are pretty partial to the original formula. Perhaps you can use that one as a palette?
