Gem gave me my first ever guitar lesson at a house party in Crook. I think it was the four chords to Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones. He also sold me my first ever guitar, no idea of the make but he’d had a custom paint job of a Union Jack done to it which made it look pretty cool. Perhaps he was always destined to join Oasis. Genuinely nice lad.
