Found your videos while looking for gemstone tutorials. I love your work. I don't use my Prismacolors often, I prefer inktense pencils and will be trying to use your example with the inktense

thank you Sarah, please try doing the gems yourself, you can try on acorns if bugs don't inspire you ☺

Hello Irina. Your bugs are beautiful! I have just discovered your tutorials. I've done one Irina bug ... and he's pretty nice ... except for the white shading. It's not very good. I wonder if you would mind telling us exactly the white Posca pen you used. I am not sure if they come in a lot of different sizes .... so knowing a specific size for the tiny white highlights would be super helpful. Again, many thanks for taking the time to make your tutorials.

Nice tutorial. It gives me new idea about coloring book. From where do you get your talent? You're so talented.

thank you, Milky Way! your words are too kind to describe my "performance". I barely coloured around 10-12 pages when it came to my mind to colour these bugs as gems :)) they looked like jewels to me, so I had to search youtube for tutorials on how to achieve this. that' s why videos are clumsy, I did not even have a tripod to fix the camera (the phone actually), and I had to record several videos, in case one of them is not relevant enough. ☺ Hope you enjoy and find it useful, it makes me happier to see people colouring gembugs based on my movies than it made me to colour them myself! ☺

Please can you give the exact name and brand of the white paint marker you use and where I might be able to but it? Thank you...this is a very good instructional video!
@irinaungureanu59818 жыл бұрын
Hi, my paintmarker is Schneider, but the tip is too thick, 2 mm; you should use one with max 0.7-0.9mm tip. I bought this from a local stationery store in Romania where I live, but you can find one in your local or online stationery stores. just search for "paint marker white" ☺

+Irina Ungureanu I won't be getting to Romania any time soon, unfortunately..... but I thank you for your prompt response and for your very helpful tutorial. Have a nice day!

+Rosemarie Chris , in the meantime I grew up and wiser :))) I got myself a Posca paint marker which is exquisite, perfect for this job, and it comes in various tip sizes AND colors!!!. I am sorry my answer was not very helpful earlier, I am merely a beginner in coloring, and I am not such an expert in techniques and coloring material :) Good luck, hope you managed to gem your bugs also, or at least some acorns or fish, to make things look brighter! :)))

What are the colors that you used on these one?
@irinaungureanu59818 жыл бұрын
hi, Emily, I used the Faber Castel eco pencils regular range of 48, that come in a red carton box. And yes, it works with less fancy pencils too ;) The white is done with a paint marker. Mine is too thick, 2mm, you can look for a smaller tip of 0.7-0.9mm to be more comfortable.
