Kumbi is called njama njama in cameroon and it is a staple among people of the grassfields people in cameroon. It is also eaten with corn fufu. Tukuni(beans and potaotes) is also called tukuni especially among the tribe called the BANSO people in cameroon. Just like panso in nigeria,i wander if the panso and the Banso speak the same language. My sister in law comes from a village called mbirabua and it is one of the first villages across from nigeria on the cameroonian side of gembu. It hits different when u watch it on video. Thanks alot for this great piece.

Yes. Happy to read your comment. It reinforces the cultural and geographical similarities between both countries. I do think Panso and Banso speak same language. Thanks for watching this video.

Thanks for documenting this bro , i am from a village just accross the river Donga. These are my people, from Banso, Wimbum etc in Cameroon right up to this area, same weather, same food, some language same tradition etc.. Panso are Banso in Cameroon Kabum are Wimbum in Cameroon and so on even the Fulani and Haosa tribes in this area are found in cameroon and are culturally different from those in Northern Nigeria.. Once more thank you for showing this

The history between Cameroon and Nigeria is way beyond what anyone would imagine especially the English part. Just cross that artificial boundary line and you will be amazed with the culture similarities on the other side. The good thing is that you don't need any visa but the crises is making it unsafe at the moment. From North to South, there is no difference between Cameroon and Nigeria
@OzavoguAbdul3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely spot on. That's one thing I have realized over the years exploring these parts. Way too many similarities. You still need some papers to 'officially' cross in though but yeah, the crisis at the moment is just unfortunate.

Is the limestone not hazardous to the belly?
@OzavoguAbdul3 жыл бұрын
Google it and let us know.. 😄
@tatahisaacjulius65973 жыл бұрын
The limestone in the cooking process of the red beans helps it get cooked or done faster..trust me that beans take a lot of time under a serious heat to get cooked... Now the part where we believe it helps from stomach bite is because the local herbs in the region has a combination of limestone in one of the herbal drugs for stomach bite.. And if I am not mistaking, they is limestone in Andrew liversolt..😊

The real nationality of an African is his tribe. Had it been the people of the British Cameroon were given a third option, all these people would have been under the same nation. Niether Cameroon nor Nigeria.
