The prepolish was 3000 diamond on a batt lap. Polish was aluminum oxide.

Hey Looking for advice, I purchased some of the resin recommended on your channel for dopping stones and I can't seem to get it to work well, I've had a couple of stones detach while cutting and was wondering if there was anything you do to get it to stay in place better

A few things I can think of would be to make sure the dop and the stone are both cleaned with acetone, make sure the UV light can get everywhere. Like inside a cone dop might not get enough light to cure properly. I use a flat dop and float the stone on it for this reason. Make sure to build up enough layers around the side of the dop and enough area of the stone. The more surface area the glue covers the better. If doing the pavilion, I like to have it go right to the girdle, but not on the girdle. Hope this helps.

love your stuff. I'm about 4 stones in on my own machine now. How are you taking your photos/videos? I'm struggling to get my phone to focus on the close up/transparent things.

Thank you! I'm just using my phone and a tripod. My phone also has trouble focusing close up. I zoom in to about 3x and cup the gem with my hand to give the camera something to focus on. You can get it close that way then move the phone farther or closer to fine tune the focus.
