Gemini AWD 23TE & 24KB: What Floor Plan Do You Like Better?

We bought this model a 2024 24kb Gemini this summer and just returned from a 3 week 6,000 mile cross country trip. Loved every minute of it and she drives and handles like a dream. I never really wanted a slide when looking for an RV but this is the model we fell in love with. Never even used the slide on the big trip because we were always on the go with few exceptions. We purchased a couple of foldable TV tables to eat on and they stash behind the couch. Love the couch by the way, it's very comfortable compared to seating in other coaches we looked at.

I agree, however i would prefer they put the sofa bed that they use in the 24.1 vegas. It is exactly the same type of sofa visually than the one they put in the compass and gemini 24 kb except it convert to a real bed for two adult. It would fit perfectly at the exsct same place. And for occasional guest we could use the slide and make a real bed. The jacknofe is useless for me. I don’t understand especially they already have it in the vegas 24.1 which has exactly same layout and size.

Just got back from a ten day trip up to Redwood National park and up the Oregon coast. Multiple places we stayed we wouldn’t have been able to had we bought an RV over 25’. We got to use the slider this trip and it was great to have the extra room. But the design change I would like to make is to eliminate the slider and put in a classic breakfast nook with fold down table to make a bed that would actually be large enough to be used by adults unlike the one now. It would eliminate the width of the couch arms and the two thick slider walls and pick up all available space between the driver seat and the bath wall which has the mirror on it. I’d also add a decent size exterior compartment on the drivers side of the rig under the slider where there’s a large empty space they didn’t utilize for some reason.

@ you can make a bed extension by putting foot rest or building two woods extension and removable leg and cutting a foam on top. I have seen a video of a guy doing that on your 24kb. He has now a full bed for two on the sofa. But even better, Thor has the sofa bed that fits into the 24kb. They use it in the vegas 24.1 which has exact same layout. I bet it is possible to order it and ask third party installer replacing the sofa jacknife by the sofa bed. Watch vegas 24.1 and you will see it is exact same size than the 24kb

Why you didn’t put the sofa bed of the vegas 24.1 in the Compass and Gemini 24kb ? With the sofa bed we can sleep one or two adult when the slide out is open. The jackknife sofa is only good for a small kid or dog. The sofa bed of the vegas 24.1 would fit perfectly here as it is the exact same layout. I wonder if it is possible to order the sofa bed from Thor and replace it.?

#1 feature should be lithium to run a/c. Would like to see a no pop out model and a drop down bed in front roof like they do in Europe.

Where is the generator, and what is the generator brand?

The generator on the 23TE is in the rear passenger side compartment and the generator on the 24KB is in the rear drivers side compartment. They both most recently use the Flex Power generator. I hope that helps out. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Looking Good Thor, Great floor plan as is. Only needs an option to have recline seating like the Delano! Can you confirm the Duel Fuel Generator and Lithium batteries are standard this year? Also how much solar can be added and is there room for a second Lithium battery?

how about a rear twin with no slide no dinette counter space where the dinette is or make the bath larger . no need for slide . seems like everyone is doing the same thing .change it up . rear pass through take center door off duel side storage with nice table between twin beds . the beyond why the step up in the rear twin a trip hazard in the dark i know Thor is the largest manufacture , so how about what i suggest please,, slides are a modern luxury that add cost and weight the rv people i know never want a slide and more room around bed . queen with no confining wardrobe and pass through blocking the side of the bed . so the twin is a better option for outside storage and access to the bed i watch a lot on you tube , younger people buy a rv and don't like it and give up and never buy another the floor plans could be so much better . and solar with a generator is a must

Agree. I'd also like a true pass through so that it can be used as a van occasionally...like picking up lumber from Home Depot. Also would like a short and simple coach...no slide, no generator, no excess cabinets that make it seem cluttered and small inside. And keep it to 22 ft actual length so it can fit in a parking space. The naming convention on these things kills me, a 24' coach is actually 25'+10".

It doesn't have an over the cab bunk. What good is a class C without an over cab bunk ? It defeats the entire purpose.

@@richardbyrd7268 no. Better occc, better mpg with more aerodynamic front. You don’t need a bunk if the sofa could be extended for a full bed with rest feet, or by replacing the jacknife sofa with the sofa bed they have in the vegas 24.1. But personally i would put two storage with doors to get and avoid possible water leak from the skylight. I would put a skylight on the roof but not on the front cab. More easy to seal.
