I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my Father 26 yrs ago but my Mother turned 89 in Oct & has really gone downhill...can't hear very well, see very well, moves in tiny shuffled steps, stooped over, not badly but ...noticeably and it truly breaks my heart. I kniw she has prayed for years to just die in her sleep, because she is TIRED. She hasn't has a horrible life and her health has been fairly good, she never smoked ; rarely drank & worked from 15 on , I can not wrap my brain around the fact that she will be gone soon...it will absolutely be the worst day of my life. Since 2016 I have lost countless friends, family members, my dog, both of my husband's that I had 3 children with each, AND my oldest daughter, a healthy, intelligent, Mother of 5 children ages 8 to under a year. She was a charge nurse, a midwife who had delivered babies on her own by the time she was 22. She was an incredible, mentally disturbed, warrior woman , absolutely the strongest most determined young woman I've ever seen. When A.L.L. Leukemia found her , a few months shy of 28 and having a 3 mo old daughter...to getting pregnant during her 3rd remission, & choosing not to abort her son, which meant the 3 yrs she was ravaged by cancer, chemo, and radiation....75% of which she was too sick to be able to even lie in bed at home, and had to be hours away in Barnes Hospital because They had experimental treatments she was agreeing to take like a guinea pig in attempt to RAISE her own children & beat cancer...was all for NOTHING. Her son will be 4 in February and calls another woman " Mommy", because she US the only Mommy he knows, & her son, is a few weeks older so he has a brother like his completely different looking twin/ best friend. I would like to tell you it gets easier... but it honestly doesn't. Grief is a process that takes so much time but You obviously have a good heart. I will be praying and burning some sage for you tonight. Thank you for sharing during your time if sorrow. As above, so below my dear. They are in a better place, and you will see them again. Good Lord willing..
