Now that ive watched all 5 perspectives 1. Gem - HC mega build with lots of decorations, the sheer size of it makes it very effective. Feels like a conventional hide and seek you could play in a mansion with friends. 2. Scott - Game Master going back in the closet to pull the classic armour stand trick. Walking through feels like those carnival attractions with the wacky mirrors. 3. Lizzie - Devious chaotic "redstoner" of the bunch with command blocks, traps and a beautiful theme. Great use of minecraft mechanics, puzzle features and red herrings. Feels like an escape room, especially with all 4 seekers working together. 4. Jimmy - Straightforward with two devious hiding spots. Make the build and the hiding spots unassuming so that people will walk past it thinking they have covered their bases. If Gem's hide and seek in mansion, Jimmy is hide and seek at home. And the kids have found a way to squeeze between the floorboards 5. Shubble - A trapdoor psychopath. I think she might have just invented trapdoor puzzle parkour. Feels like you are trying to catch a squirrel that has somehow made a nest in the smallest crevice in your house and you need to play a game of twister to get them out.

Fun fact, spiral staircases were specifically designed so that people going down the staircase would see people coming up it before they were seen, to give them a tactical advantage, and because of the shape, right handed soldiers could use their swords easily going down but not on the way up. So spiral staircases are literally designed to hurt people.
@remuladgryta10 ай бұрын
Some stairs were also deliberately built to have one or a few steps with a different height from the rest to make strangers stumble while residents would have built up a muscle memory for when to take an extra big/small step.
@curtisrenwick57226 ай бұрын
The tactical advantage depends on the handedness of the spiral staircase. Going down it needs to spiral to the left so the right hand has room to swing. Those coming up have their sword tight to the center column and be disadvantaged.

The best one would be to hide in a 1x1 painting. The way to get into is to make a path to crawl through decorative blocks as chain. I mean a trapdoor will placed away from the painting and once you get into Crawl now to get to painting by crawling under decorative items as chain etc. and hide inside painting.

I would have cloned a small multiple leveled first person shooter (FPS) map, ie Unreal, Doom, etc with many ways up & down with a lot of twists & turns, with the only big modification being adding a lot of places to hide but giving you a way out so you're not trapped, so every hiding spot has a back door. Ohh with a ton of paintings to hide behind and lots of 4 spaces-jumps parkour to get to a lot of them so when you see them coming for you doing the parkour you have your back way out to run and hide in another spot. If redstone is allowed I would add hidden doors, traps & puzzles but if redstone wasn't allowed I would have added cobwebs & powdered snow as obstacle, and blocks of slime to use as ways to jump & bounce away ... btw I've only watched the first minute of this video before writing this, I do not know if they need to tag you to catch you, or just find you, I hope it involves tagging, meaning you can RUN! So I guess my idea would work best with everyone was given a week or more to design their map. I like the idea of the set square size, but I picture it being many many floors tall. I guess it could be used as a FPS, and have food, potions, weapons, ammo & armor spawn into the game at set points.
