Hi Gemma, I've been watching your content for a few years now and love your style, especially your house. I've always found your videos to be so relaxing. I'm in my late 40's now and if there's one thing I've learnt it's that I can't please everybody. I spent too many years doing things to make others happy, to fulfil their expectations of how I should be and how I should live but I made a decision that by making others happy with me, I was making myself miserable. I lost my dad when I was 8 and he was 49 and the realisation that life is too short to be constantly appeasing people finally hit me in my late 30's when I had some health worries. Since then, I've changed my outlook on life. I guess what I'm saying is that you should do what makes you happy. I realise being on SM makes that difficult but your followers will still be there and loving you and your videos for who you are.

It makes you so relatable that you discuss what is on your mind as I and I am sure others feels this way too and talking about things helps us to share our thoughts in a safe place. Gemma I like your content the way it is. Every time I come back to watch your videos since I feel relaxed and motivated to pay attention to the place I live in. I didn’t like autumn before, but after seeing how you can make autumn special, every August I’m waiting for autumn hauls, decors, cozy mornings and staff like that. Same with Christmas. Also, I like KZbin more than Instagram because it is more real. After Instagram I feel unhappy with my life, like I’m not doing enough as others, but when I watch KZbin videos, I see people who are real, who have their ups and downs. You don’t have to spread only positive things, it is more important to let your viewers know how you feel and do what make you happy, since anyway people who support you (me😁) will be by your side.

I want to let you know that you’re not alone. Social media is a destructive tool, yet it connects us to each other. It can be so bad for our mental health and I have felt this too which is why I have decided to take a break. I know that your job is being a KZbinr and this involves social media but please take a break if you need to. No one should be made to feel like they have to keep going even when times are hard. Gemma⚠️... Do what makes you "happy"... If you feel like traditional... Go for it🤗.. You should be decorating your house for you and Jamie, not for us.. It will look beautiful whatever style you go for🤗. You evolve and change in life.. Just go for it... If people love you here, they will enjoy anything you do🤗. To be honest, your pinks, glitter, feather style was something I don't like for myself🙈.. But I loved watching you decorate your house that way.. Because we could see how excited and happy you were🤗. I always did traditional with reds, golds, greens with tree decor that I collected all over the world on my travels and inherited from my parents and grandparents.. Last year I went Scandinavian-neutral.. My kids complained that it was dull and didn't feel Christmasy enough.. And to be honest I agreed with them.. It just didn't feel like cosy Christmas. So this year I will do traditional in the livingroom and a second tree with scandinavian neutrals on a second tree either in the dining room or hallway.... 🎄DO WHAT BRINGS YOU BOTH JOY🎄🤗 PS food for thought! ... You have almost half a million subscribers.. And a successful fashion company that is expanding exponentially... This should show you that you are loved by us🤗. There will always be some haters.. But you have to remember they are only projecting their frustrations, angry, jealousy and personal short-comings on you.. It is NOT actually YOU that has the problem 🤗.
