I get mine tommorrow. I pre-ordered as soon as it was announced. When I saw it I was amazed. Aside from actual movie props, I don’t think there has ever been a better Darth Vader collectible than this in my opinion. The Kucharek brothers absolutely nailed it.

This statue is straight fire. There use of sorce lighting is amazing. That sculpted Cape is so much better than anything you can do with a mix media cape. I'm crazy impressed. The battle damage. Mind Blown.....

This is a work of art. I never wanted a 1/5 piece… until now. Great review, as always, Gem. The only think that I miss on your videos is a comparison segment. For example: putting a 1/4 or 1/3 statue next to this one, so we can realize the size difference. Cheers!

Vader looks incredible, the cape is amazing, the Kucharek Brothers are master sculptors since the Bowen Design days. Will be getting this one soon.

Yea i have both and they are both great. I showed both to my college buddies and girlfriend who all know star wars to an extent. Like they know Vader and Luke skywalker and when they saw this new mythos statue, id have to say that all theyre eyes opened up a bit when presented. It could of been from the size but its definitely an eye opener due to the stance and cape. The original speaks a totally different peom. Its more for a true star wars fan who knows what the "contemplation" really means

Sideshow has a nice little base game. It's not XM level playing, but when they come through with some nice focused details in a compact frame, it hits right. Obviously it also depends on the artists' design, but they don't always choose well.

Yea i like the other one but this kinda steps on it to be honest. Its just a super gnarly angry iteration of Vader that hasnt been seen before. Only in the books does this Vader come to life and the artists created it! Exceptional

Great statue! I was really eyeing this one, but didn't end up getting it. The only thing I don't love about it is that the lightsaber has no light-up feature, but ultimately I just didnt want to burn the money on it and I'm in space saving mode already. It was great to see you unbox it, and I hope you'll keep in the personal collection so we'll be seeing it in the background of other videos.

Premium Format have always kind of a mixed media line ever since the early days. i really like the story that the OG Mythos tells but the cape and the broken helmet really make this version!

Sorry, I'm new to collecting. I'm looking at the same statue, and its still on preorder a year later with 4500 pieces. Is this the same original 4500 batch? I'm just confused because everyone seems to have theirs from a year ago...do they just stay on pre order status? Is it a re release?

They don’t make the entire run at one time. They make them in batches until they hit the ES. I’ve heard cases from other companies where they didn’t even produce the entire ES.

Got this a few weeks ago and mannnnnn it’s easily the best Vader out there. It’s actually bigger than a few of my sideshow 1:4 scales. I do wish this mythos line was a true 1:4 scale though. Sideshow’s work over the last year has been lights out, especially for the money It does exacerbate the problem with displaying their mythos sidious though. They made the brain dead decision to give him that fabric cloak and it looks so off
