Owen it's a deep, deep rabbit hole for sure. I started with the idea of only getting the trinity; Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Yeah that idea went clean out the window. I think I have over 50 pieces now. I say 'think' because to be honest I completely lost count. Haha!!!

@@ShadyDBZ4 See i'm the same i want to jump into this hobby so bad but i have so many issues why i feel like i can't. Issue 1: My hobby right now is gaming...which is already expensive as hell as is. I have thats expensive as hell and always maintaining it to make sure it's up to date and high end and ill get into why thats important later. Issue 2 is Display. I'm not sure i have somewhere to properly display a bunch let alone even 10 or so huge statues such as the ones Gem reviews. And lastly and most importantly the final 3rd Issue which as is aid has to do with having an already expensive hobby in gaming is how to maintain such an expensive hobby such as collecting and buying $800-$1200 a pop statues? I mean that just stumps me how on gods earth do you shell out that much not juts once but 10, 20, or 30 times over? I mean sheesh some of these guys i see have a down payment on a house or enough to outright buy brand new Truck or SUV in statues...And talk about this hobby like its bottle cap collecting or something...

I really love the sweeping cape effect....super dynamic...crazy how when I first started it was just cheap 1/10 scale stuff...it has quickly moved to 1/6....1/4....and now I have my sights on a few 1/3 pieces...statue collecting is not for the faint of heart...go hard or go home!!! #bigboxesonly💪

Yo Gem! So happy to see you do a review on this beast! 100% agree that this is THE DEFINITIVE Batman statue! Love everything about it! Paint app looks spot on, great sculpt, lots of details. Batman looks so damn imposing on that eagle base with that rifle in one hand and the batarangs in the other hand. Love that classic yellow chest plate as well. Overall, just an AMAZING Grail piece and a top contender for Statue of the Year! This will likely be my one and only 1/3 scale piece in my collection!

I would display the batarang hand and grappling hook, with yellow chest piece. I like the classic look.👍 Iron studios 1/3 batman on bat signal is a pretty solid piece too though, possibly even better then this one.🤔

Ok ...i was never a huge fan of the " Dark Knight" era design..i 'm an old fanboy of Neal Adams..but man, this piece does justice to the concept of the Dark Knight..he's massive, muscular, impressive, he reminds me of Sandy Corolla's fan short movie...If you don't know it, have a look on youtube, it's a treat.

A Gabriele Dell’Otto art print of this piece or one from Victor Garduno would look awesome to go along with it. For a 1/4 scale Batman I think the New 52 version from P1 and SS is a great one. The one where he’s shooting the grappling gun

Great review! Incredible piece. Epic! I see what you mean about the yellow chest plate but I prefer the dark one. The batterangs and the rifle are amazing. I remember one of the best quotes from Dark Knight Returns issue 1 was "Good thing I brought the gun." The best part of the review (other than the statue) is your on-point description of the Dark Knight Returns storyline when you are describing him as being more frustrated - classic! Thanks again! Hey dude, the DK statue review was top notch. Just a small correction on the statue lore. Bruce is using the rifle to run a tightrope between the towers that TwoFace is robbing. Purely functional usage, not for shooting henchmen. Best statue EVER !
