HUGE THANKS TO FRED AND SNOWY'S ADVENTURES FOR HELPING ME REPAIR THIS
this thing wasn't necessary hard to repair, but was just, weird
the mechanism it has is the same as the dancing presidents and senators, and to me it's like an engineering feet. this thing has WAY to many screws and a lot thin plastic that could easily snap off (which a lot did). even though it's alot to dismantle and the rebuild, it was a fun easy repair, just repetitive, and I'd fix another one of these mechanisms again.
this one in particular didn't have anything broken on it besides a split gear in the mechanism. however, when I took it apart I accidentally snapped a lot of plastic on it lol. I lost a couple small parts and had to jerryrig the shoulder pieces that connect to the arms with hot glue. it works, and very well. it looks rough but I bet that's because the belt is just bad, when I get a better one I'll replace it.
I actually used to own one of these back in 2010, my mom and I got one at Target in 2010. I didn't really remember owning it until recently when I saw videos of these. overall it's a really cool item, it's a shame that it was only sold at 1 location for 1 year. one thing I don't understand about it is the audio quality. in 2010 almost all items had really good audio quality but this one's is off. anyways if you read all this, good for you, I rambled a little too much because I just love this thing and I'm glad to own it again. thank you for watching!
