I have the 2004 5 foot grinch stole Christmas dancing animated and while his head is on the song won’t complete and when his head off, it plays all the way through. Do you know what it could be??

I was just given a 2003 model for free but it's having an issue which I believe is relation to the main circuit board. When I press the red button the mouth opens and closes and I hear crackling noises from the speaker, his body twitches a little bit but he won't sing or dance. I grabbed a hair dryer for the hell of it and blew it at the circuit board and he surprisingly came to life again dancing, singing head and mouth worked! Unfortunately it was short lived once I got him back together he was back to the same problem twitching, crackle from speaker and mouth opening and closing that's it. When I set the switch to mic/aux and connect an mp3 player I hear music from the speaker and his mouth opens and closes to the music I assume he's supposed to dance as well when he's set to aux/mic. What can I do?

I have a 2018 model from Walmart. When I put the switch to English. He plays a full set in English and then goes right into Spanish. Do you have any idea how to fix this problem?

This model you cant, that's just how it is. I believe it's something with the gear ratio.

I don't know the size, but I get them from ace hardware, they are usually called o rings, they are used for plumbing.

Thanks! We purchased O rings and replaced the one that was there (still intact). Gears appear fine. But still isn’t dancing any other suggestions to try? Also, mouth stopped working (has power, and closes when turned off, but will not move to the music). Thanks! Sonya

I just bought this EXACT same model online. his mouth doesnt work, and his motor os VERY loud. hopefully this video can help me fix it. Do you know why the motor may be very loud?

it some knock off and realistic beards version, under the beard is a mold of the original beard have been covered by the realistic beard. but sometime it's noticeable.

Yes they are, but as of now, the head gearbox shattered again because of the yellowing.

Hi! Where are you located? I’m so sad my 5ft Gemmy santa stopped singing :( I followed your trouble shooting Pulled off plate under his feet, and hoped it was a button contact issue….bc all the other components looked perfectly in tact. Ps this model is atleast 2002-6 Ours sings wish you a merry xmas so original model. There was rust on the bottom and contact ps22 plate so I cleaned it all and hoped for a Xmas miracle and no :( He didn’t sing. It’s like he’s not sensing and only dances on Aux mode On on mode he does nothing :( His speaker is on his body Anyway if you have any advice for me I’d super welcome it! Grateful for your videos. Ps I know he’s an old original lol but he’s worth saving!!!!!

Try and short the button wires with a screw driver, the way it works is the button completes a circut when pressed down, if you short them with a screwdriver it bypasses the plate and that could make him work, if this does work then get some CRC Quick drying contact cleaner and spray it on the button and the PCB for the button. Hope this helps!

Black and the white wires on the control board on the base are loose . Assuming they supply power to the head. Where does the white wire connect on the board

Hi - please let me know the amperage output of the 6 volt power supply. We have a salvaged 4 foot Gemmy animatronic Santa that is apparently from 2002-2004, based on what we've found in searches thus far. The base's power connection port shows DC6V. I think the speaker is in the base due to the circular pattern of holes behind the manual play button, which I think can help identify the model year, right? We ordered a 6 volt, 2 amp power supply off Amazon, but have now found your repair video, so hope you can tell us the OEM adapter output amperage for the 6 volt power supply adapter. Thank you.
