In my opinion, it is the most beautiful stone in the world. I'm obsessed with anything that is naturally purple. I always thought amathyst should be in the place of gold. Why is gold glorified? I love amathyst.

@@bornselfmade9868 yes, but why? Gold isn't that eye catching, if anything silver probably catches the light better. Gold only has value because we have it value. The dollar could have been based on obsidian in another life. Or even acorns. Anything really.

The true pink Amethyst is the favorite in my family. Mother was born on January 30th. when she was growing up the only birthstone one had depended on the month they were born. But she is an Aquarius. So it was only the last 10 yrs. or so we learned Amethyst is her birthstone. Not the Garnet.
