Totally agree, Rob. More complications, more money grabs, more rng dependent "rewards". I do PVP for the same reason you do and I liked the old PVP system better. The disappearing teams when I use an immortal is really frustrating. A couple of times, I've had it happen and just didn't do PVP that day. I buy the ring that gives extra boosts every month and I bought the Deathknight Armor when I started the game. Once in a while, I buy a boost for 1.99US to 4.99US to support the game. But with all the new additions, it's starting to feel like something I have to do, not something I do because I enjoy it. And it's getting really time consuming to get anywhere in the game. If there was an alternative gem matching/fighting game with fewer complications and money grabs, I might just quit GOW and start playing the new game. Barring that, I might stop doing PVP and go back to the dailies and the guild events

Yes indeed. it's as if the Devs truly have no idea about what it takes or means to keep players happy, and playing the game. Really strange.

I've not spent a single Silver mark since the PvP revamp a few months ago. I do like the deed book rewards (even though they're random) from the PvP shop but as far as a celebration, it would be fun if players started playing only Arena and Treasure hunt as a means of protest 😂

Yep, if PVP wasn't such a chore to play for so many people they might be willing to put more into it. I know a lot of people who like the random Book of Deeds, but the messed up PVP makes it a chore everyday, and eventually people will just say, 'you know what, I don't care anymore' and stop playing.

I still love this game, but there seems to be so many people quitting. My guild has had so many players just stop playing. So many daily tasks and time limited grinds. Feels a bit overwhelming and unattainable some days (especially for those who can't pay to play).

Me too but some things are just so badly implemented (like PVP) that for so many people it's now feeling like a chore rather than something they 'want' to do I think.

Just something would be nice without having to do ANYTHING!! Have to see what is in these 'task rewards', but we still have to do 'whatever it is' to get those rewards. It's my birthday - do all this first and I might give you something. Nice.

They need more things that reward long term game play, like the campaign pass. I personally don't get that, but can see the value because then I want to play to get the guaranteed rewards I can earn.

I doubt that a "rare encounter" will be that rare, after all they want our money.😂 I have supported the game for so long, but I stopped after the pvp pass was introduced. Pre-pass, I loved it. So the wallet closed and I no longer buy any passes at all.. I must admit my real issue with the game has been has been the amount of time that is required to get all things done. The games hold on me has weakened substantially and with each update, I slip slowly further out of its grasp. Tis a pity

Are they owned by Rockstar seems like they think the same when it comes to anniversary's. I stopped playing PVP after the update. The old system worked great.

It's not meant for everybody. It's meant for the very few whales that feel the need to upgrade their immortal troops as soon as possible. I'm sure those few will make the implementation worth it.

The update looks (nearly) useless. It seems like the latest indication that the devs, particularly Sirrian since he's the head and thus ultimately responsible, simply don't (want to) understand the values of the late / end game portion of the player base.

For a major milestone that is ten years, that's incredibly an weak way to celebrate. Too bad all the developers' energy is invested in the next cash offer instead of fixing garbage events like Journey, PvP teams disappearing or the targeting on the likes of Immortal Empyrion, which (still) currently has him failing to hit three times if an enemy dies during his cast.
