Gen 5 Glock 19 Slide on Gen 3 Frame, NO WAY?

I was just going down the rabbit hole trying to see if you could do this. Living in a ban state and not being able to have anything new then a gen 3 really sucks but learning I can put a gen 5 mos slide on my gen three is a game changer thank you!

@@BrandonBreezeGunTube I got it today and installed with my new red dot. I like it and it feels smooth. Trigger feels same. I have a gripe about the front metal piece it does not meet flush with the frame and does NOT look OEM there in a relatively important spot.

@drewmorg. that's definitely strange. You would figure it would be the same since they probably scan the oem slide with lasers, etc. The only tome I've had problems with Glocks has been when introducing some aftermarket parts. I've had this one since 2008, so it's seen a good bit of parts to test.

Unfortunately not exactly. They changed the locking block on the Gen 5 to be the same as the Glock 19. I suspect you might be able to use your existing Gen 3 barrel with a gen 5 MOS slide though. I plan on trying this if I can snag a Gen 5 slide for a reasonable price!

No, it's not necessary to change the back plate. I did, because the gen 3 back plate looks better IMO. Thanks for watching and commenting!
