i go to sephora probably 1 time every three months / more and use my allowance NOT my parents money. I clean the testers these kids mess up and if i do test something i test it right. I only ever buy at most 3 things that are pretty small because i dont have a lot of money..

I'm a student in college studying digital media and the most i do is take a shower with my £5 shampoo and conditioner and these girls are already in makeup stores.

my problem with it is them using products that are not good for their skin and when they are disrespectful to employees and other people and then they destroy all of the testers. like what makes them think that that’s ok?

As a mom of two tween girls, I am telling you that SO much of the allure here with these kids is the pretty packaging. ❤🎆

When I was teen the word tween didn't exist, smart phones & social media didn't exist. Times are changing

My mom took me makeup shopping in Ulta and Sephora around that age maybe a little older but I mainly went off to the perfume section cause I loved to smell them all. As long as someone is with them, teaches them about makeup that is right for their age and reprimands them for trashing the place. Then I don't see an issue with a mom taking her daughter and a few friends to shop for makeup for twelve year olds, not crazy makeup for someone in their twenties

I didn’t get into skincare products until my late 20s/30s. I had really bad acne in my teens. I wish I knew about it when I was a teen.

It's okay for tweens and teens to use skincare. A 7yr old shouldn't rly be using skincare. However, I think it is good for us to be starting skincare early on as it becomes a habit to take care of our skin. But we don't need to be using retinols, eye creams, and all that other nonsense at our ages. It is not age appropriate and it will end up ruining our skin. Same with makeup, 10yr olds do not need makeup. Don't be in a rush to grow up, enjoy your childhood, you have so much adulthood to do all of these things. Dermatologists have said getting into a skincare routine as a tween or teen is good habits, but again, you just need a simplr routine. Ex. cleanser, serum, moisturizer, spf that's honestly it !!

I just turned 43 on Feb 16th. How tf are we already at another Gen? My parents are Boomers they gave birth to Gen Xers, Gen Xers kids are Millennials and Millennials children should be Gen Z who should all still be fairly young. What tf is Gen Alpha....They taught us "Generations" waaaaaaaay different in school then what they're teaching and posting on the net. I keep seeing all the stupid specific dates of what Gen should be placed where BS....

The only thing my mom has ever let me use for my skin in turmeric soap since I was 13, it never occurred to me about all this other stuff for skin. I didn’t even know about Sephora until a few months ago, but I have heard a little about it. I feel so old now 😅

The parents are raising them this way. Yikes. Yet if you ask them about health literacy, it's going to be crickets. They don't even know the science behind the ingredients and effects to the largest organ of their tiny bodies.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with the skincare, but when they destroy the testers that’s not okay. Remember though just because some of the “Sephora kids” are messing with the testers, does not mean all of them are. I think they should be able to use it, there is really nothing wrong with liking skincare at a young age.

Why are those of us who are part of Gen X acting like we weren’t using Noxzema as tweens?! My mother had me on a skin care routine as a tween because that’s when puberty and pimples started. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with these young ladies being on a good skin care regimen. Everything in moderation.
