Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event: • Igor Krutoy, the pianist, is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed. Igor is considered as the godfather of the russian music scene, a bigger equivalent for Russia of David Foster for North America. • This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years, they co-created many songs together and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with” • This also explains why the song does not expose more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton. • Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable • Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently. • It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara (he is a fan since he is a child and he covered several of her songs such as Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde, Know, …): look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it … • Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 5 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man • Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara • Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀 • I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons on a daily basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers. • Final note to say that Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics of the song Your Love for Dimash

Aida and Dimash sang Ulisse which is a gorgeous duet at this same event celebrating Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday. On Dimash's KZbin channel. Dimash sang solo songs at this event: Passione, Know, Olimpico along with the duet and trio performances. All on his channel. The entire concert is on Igor Krutoy's KZbin channel. Andre Bocelli was also a guest performer. All songs are Igor Krutoy compositions.

It really isn't surprising that Dimash can perform so well in this genre given that he does have professional training in Opera. He is proficient enough in Opera that he was offered a position in the Almaty Opera company in Kazakhstan. He ultimately turned that down because he wanted to pursue a different direction in his music.

❗FUNNY ! Lara, in a tv interview told of rehearsing, Aida cocking her head at Dimash Hey ! If I have to run out for something he can sing MY part. And burst out laughing ! They lost it. Couldn't pull themselves together ! Deep breaths. OK we're ready. One would look at the other and get falling over hysterical ! When Aida, eyes blinking like a maniac, looking everywhere but at Dimash, looked at him, choked, and snorted her note through her nose, Igo up, pounding on the piano lid, all of them screaming in laughter, Igor gasping... IGOR LOVES TO TELL DIMASH MEETING LARA . Unknowing he had a long and enormous fan crush, Igor said I'm walking with this tall, elegant handsome young man, heads turning as we pass and 15 feet from her, he tripped over his feet, hand stuck out, I'm so glad to finally meet me ! I caught him falling Are you sick ? I thought he was sick ! Dimash grinning and nodding, it was so funny. Lara immediately understood and took over, he said off they walked chattering like they'd known each other forever, arms entwined oblivious to everyone, two best friends and I'm left standing there alone ! Dimash still grinning and nodding. The only artists Igor has ever mentored.

This evening was in honor for Igor Krutoy (at the paino). He brought "his" stars as composer together. You can see it in his eyes that he was there so happy. And Dimash and Lara like each other. - Dimash is also an opera singer. - Beautiful performance three singer. - Dimash is in a league of its own (opera, neo-classic, pop, jazz, folk ... sometimes rap).

I love this performance. ❤ This is the very first time that Dimash meets his idol, Lara. (Notice how he moves towards her before finishing his duet with Aida) There was strain on Lara's throat, which usually never happens, because she was very sick with flu. Such a professional artist to motor through despite the pain. You can hear how Dimash changes modulation slightly to better blend the voices and protectively watches Lara, just in case. Dimash is actually a trained opera singer, he chose not to accept a place in Kazakhstan's opera house, because he did not want to be bound in one style of music making.

Dimash and Aida did an other song together at the same concert. It s called Ulisses and is on Dimashs channel. At the end of that one Dimash steals the last hight note from Aida. It s not obvious on the original video because he matches his voice to hers perfectly but if you look at fancams you can see it s actually him who sings the hight note. And then they smile at eachother as if they shared a secret joke.

Собственно, довольный Маэстро за инструментом - Игорь Крутой, который и организовал всю эту красоту. Чего бы Димашу и не петь оперу, имея одним из образований именно оперный вокал? Мастеру предлагали место в опере Астаны, но он выбрал вокальный кроссовер. Все еще ожидаем реакцию на Димаша с Дива Данс, концерт в Бастау.

Dimash is an "honest" opera singer. Was Classically trained from age of 5. He just branched out. He was offered a position in his Countries National Opera Company. But again did not want to be restrained from singing Pop if he chose to.
