I don't drink anymore but don't mess with my syrup!🤬 and higher taxes don't effect the corporations, they just pass the higher taxes on to the price of their products and drive up the inflation. 🙁 thanks for the recognition Jesse! Boycott or not, I will never drink bud light or use a gillette razor for the rest of my life. I don't want these things in my house. I haven't seen the Arizona tea ceo interview, but there examples of powerful businessmen who are honest and moral, and strive to do the right thing to help the community. Stories like this go a long way, and I remember them decades later.

I can't stand corporations today. There is almost no car or truck made after 2000 that I would buy because they want to sell me tech, but I'm an analog type of guy. I would rather buy an old cheap car with a good reputation and fix it. I bought a 1984 Dodge Ram with the 318 for $1200 and invested $2500. I don't want a perpetual car payment.

Nice those 318's are workhorse motors. My dad had an 84 Ram Charger that hit 475K miles before the block cracked in 01. Put in a rebuilt 318 and sold it for 4K to a friend that bought a hunting property in northern NM back in 02. That old light blue Dodge is still going strong!

@@dreadassembly4087 Personally I've always wanted a 72 Dodge Dakota with the straight 6 but never found an owner willing to sell. Found one at a salvage yard once in 07 but the month it took me to get the money to buy it the salvage yard owners son's were in the process of rebuilding/repairing the ole girl for going to their favorite fishing hole. Personal loss for me yes but I was happy to see millennials working on something that will be in their family for at least 3 to 5 generations!

Video idea (assuming you haven’t covered this already): I recently read a couple of articles online about how Gen X has the highest levels of credit card debt, compared to Boomers, Millennials, and Gen Z, and are also the most likely to have maxed out credit cards. So it’d be interesting to get your opinion on why that might be. Obviously I can’t post links here, but these articles should be pretty easy to find with a simple Google search. The articles I read were on the CNBC and the Experian websites.

Inflation is absolutely a tax on people. It takes more money to live but they don't raise the tax brackets enough to compensate for the higher cost of living, so we get to pay more taxes and higher prices at the same time.

The irony of having Aunt Jemima on the syrup, something that is just repackaged corn syrup, given the tendency of certain demographics to obesity & early death is hilarious to me. Then again, I'm an a-hole. They can call it maple syrup all they want, but corn syrup is not maple syrup. There is only so much we can do. As you said, we vote with our wallets. Like in the case of Coca-Cola & their "Be less white" training, I stopped buying anything they sell; Minute Maid juice, soft drinks, the whole shebang. Haven't bought anything from Gillette in years for similar reasons.

Remember when in every store be it local small business or large global chains they all had huge labels on the front of all items clearly stating where said product was made. That all went away in the late 80's due to made in Mexico or China was always left on the shelves to rot. Stores just greatly reduced those items in their inventories until the new micro labels came out and started using obscure phrasing like assembled in or prepared in or items/ingredients sourced from x. We had expiration dates on food. For 20 years we've had best if used by dates(WTF kinda nonsense PC word salad BS is that would a best if used buy date even hold up under a basic non biased legal inquiry!?). You know how many times I've seen people throw away preserved unopened food items because they equate best if used by with expired. They never even open the container just to give a sniff test. Hey if that can of pork n beans is swelling like a blister on an unsocked foot after a long day of walking then yeah toss it but I've seen people throw out 6 month old spam still in the can because it passed that dreaded date. FFS Spam has an unrefrigerated shelf life of 2 to 5 years it's literally salt pork in a can one of the oldest survival foods on the planet. I'm not living around people I live around zombies that don't realize that they are zombies!

Land O Lakes, Aunt J. etc. does give a rats ass about a black lady, or indian, etc. nobody can tell me different on that. I think they got "insentive$" by the powers that be, and by the good ol' government, and now things are probably changing soon in the government, money output is going to be looked into, and adjusted. Just my opinion and guesses. One thing I am certain of, is they could care less about what they claim they care about.

To be honest, I don't care about this topic. I can live with or without the syrup or the bottle type...even glass bottles. Don't care. Shit recycles or should. Can you please give us an episode on what Gen X thinks about the concept of territorial emparitve? Anything on having newcomers to America building new towns, i.e., homesteading.
