The best part about living in the early 2000s-2010s is that music-wise old music was still a lot more relevant than it is today, and a lot of people growing up now probably are missing out on a lot of rly good music from like the 80s and lower.

I’m really glad my parents raised me with that kind of music, and a lot of my friends the same age as me also grew up with that music

@@tehangrybird345 yea same my parents were born in the 60's and they also raised me with rock songs, pop songs, and many other things like from the 80's, 90's, 2000's, and early-mid 2010's. i'm just glad all of us, grew up with better types of music back in the day, then today's music.

I was born at the end of 2009 and even I remember most of this stuff. It was the golden age to be alive. But sadly, as one of the last of the Gen Z’s all this stuff is gone and has been replaced with an empty void of nostalgia. All the Gen Alpha stuff is SOOOO boring and bad. Music these days is terrible just like everything else. It feels like the world has moved on while I cling to the past. I can’t deal with Gen Alpha’s BS. I just wish I had been born a few years earlier so I could have experienced more of this stuff. I remember that for a period of time, my school or class idr, banned Pokémon cards. Those were the good old days. I vibe more with the people in older grades although I’m less mature. Idk I just wish people were more how they were back then.

When I was a kid my mum always listened to the 80s music radio so I feel nothing for most early 2000s music while my friends act like it’s the best songs ever. Then I feel nostalgic for random 80s songs. Small things like that make me feel like I’m in my own generation.

Oh my goodness does anyone else remember those video game displays at stores? Like there was a controller and you could play a demo version of a game? My brother and I would love doing that and when we would turn around and our mom would walk off. Or more likely we would walk away from her to go play those games. We’re another cool thing that we did growing up was we would return our bottles and whatever money we got from the bottle returns. We would buy a cheap toy. It was definitely the highlight getting to pick out a crappy toy with your own money! I felt so grown up!

It was so cool to find one. Especially the butterfly and specially shaped ones. At that time we were confused about where they came from but by now I’ve realized our buried them. It was so fun.
