Jair looked amazed at Jaxon for knowing all these things. Lol Jaxon is one of the best reactors. Not only can he sing, but he acts like he enjoys every single episode he is in. He really gets into them.

There was a whole thing with really small toys, for the boys it was Micro Machines cars.
@sharqane7 күн бұрын
Oh, loads of kids played with Pogs religiously. There was a machine you could buy to make your own using magazine articles, and you could trade them, and there were also Slammer Whammers and Tazos (you could get like Star Wars ones that you put in a special folder). These were the upgrade to conkers for almost a decade. This wasn't just a "play it twice" fad...This was "fidget spinner" level obsession at the time.

There's a store in my town that still sells Clearly Canadian. The dairy in the 'myplate' infographic is there because of a dairy producers consortium lobbied to get it on there, not because you need it.

The big issue with the food pyramid is it's not what was given to the government to use as a standard. Once politicians got ahold of the food pyramid, lobbyists convinced them to include foods that were originally omitted, like dairy. That wasn't on the original version.

Pogs ended up getting banned in school. The way we did it was twenty pogs total were stacked. So if there were four players everyone contributed five pogs. They were all stacked face down and then we would throw the slammer down. Every pog that was face up was kept by the player that flipped them. The rest would be stacked and the next player would go. If no pogs were flipped by a player their slammer had to go into the stack for the next player to attempt to flip.

Omg, my teen years (I graduated HS in 2000 lol). 1. Pongs- I didn't know ANYONE who played with this. And when it came to collectable stuff at the time, boys were more into those Garbage Patch Kids cards haha. 2. Polly Pocket- I had NO interest in this because of how small it was. Besides I was still too busy playing with my Barbie Dolls lol. 3. Virtual Boy- I had NO interest in this AT ALL, because the colors were too intense and I have sensory issues (back then I didn't realize I had issues, I just knew I hated bright colors). But yeah I do think this was Nintendo's biggest flop, console wise. Thank goodness the N64 came out the following year lol. 4. Ooze Tube- I've had these a few times, I liked it haahahaha!!! 5. Hyper Color T-shirts- omg, I barely remember these lol. 6. Soap Shoes- I actually don't remember these, wow. 7. Tae Bo- HAHAHAHA, never did it, but yeah I remember seeing this guy around lol. 8. Clearly Canadian- I knew people who'd drink this stuff, I never tried it. 9. Food Pyramid- OMG Yeah I remember how they went from the 4 Food types poster to the Food Pyramid lol. My mom (and doctors) were quick to point out we shouldn't be eating that much lol. 10. Sky Dancer- I was a teen when these came out, so I had no interest because by then I wanted to stop doing 'kiddie things', I even had stopped playing with my Barbies by this point (I only collected them lol). But I do remember hearing stories about how hazardous they had become. 11. Yo-Yo- Yeah this commercial and seeing other kids doing Yoyo tricks are what got me into playing with a yoyo for a brief time lol. Nice guys lol.
