I’m also ‘96. I believe we’re barely millennials. According to Pew Research Center, millennials are from 1981-1996. I think we behave more like Gen Z though given we’re closer to them than those of our own group from the 80s.

Umm no millennial was old enough to be clubbing in the 90s unless you think it was normal for a 9 year old to go clubbing in the 90s. Generation x and prior were the ones clubbing in the 90s. Also z isn't really old enough to be clubbing unless we are talking older ones like 18 which is like not far from youngest millennial. Millennials are earlymid 80s to 00 s latest so millennials are around 20 ish and older. Also every song that they knew were not 90s but 00s so of course they heard it before

not surprising that Gen Z thinks they know it all lol. Gen X and yes, boomers, were the first to dance to electronic dance music genres back in the 90s and even as far back as 1985-7 when it all started.

That's wrong. Gen Z starts a bit before the millenium (the Pew research center uses 1997). Millenials are 1981 - 1996. Gen Zs are already clubbing, millenials would have clubbed in the 90s. There are differences in calculations, but don't think any consider gen z as starting from 2000+. It starts a couple of years before the millenium.

Oldest Gen z is 23 years old they are born between 1997 and 2012. But indeed millennials where not old enough to go clubbing in the 90s but these songs where played in clubs around 2005 anyway
