#4 is here!! This series feels like it's flying by and dragging on all at the same time... somehow. Highly recommend this hunt for anyone looking to hunt in Third Gen. Resets are FAST and you see its shiny status really quickly
Few quick notes:
- I TOTALLY forgot to take a picture of my DS/Capture card to show no cheats. I regret this error and hopefully you guys can take my word for it that I didn't cheat. Wouldn't waste your or my time with that nonsense. I also don't think you can insert an action replay into a DS slot.
- Trying to mess around with game audio in future recordings. For some reason the DS Capture card app won't detect the aux cord plug on my laptop so the audio you hear is just over my speaker. Hopefully I can improve this soon!
- Sorry for how annoying the battles are in the eevolution showcases. Getting put to sleep twice, and getting a call in emerald drove me crazy lol

I find Bite to still be pretty powerful on Espeon in 2nd/3rd gen, decent coverage and nice flinch rate. Congrats on the shiny btw, hopefully the rest of the DTQ goes well! I'm currently hunting for a Dewgong on my copy of FR

Thanks for the heads up! I actually never thought of running bite but it does make a ton of sense. I was also hoping to run Hidden power grass on Espeon because my team is a tad weak to water, but alas this espeon’s hidden power is ground... thanks again for your comment!

It's been a while since I attempted to hunt this, but I managed to find Shiny Dewgong. Bad news is that it showed up in the worst place it could possibly have randomly popped up (Emerald Battle Pyramid :( ) Perhaps its the game telling me that I should try finding it again

I just hatched my shiny Eevee brothers in gen.2 via shiny ditto method a few weeks ago. I started 2 years ago a day or two before my birthday. Full odds and nothing after over 11,000 eggs. So I grabbed three shiny dittos and stuffed them into the day care and within a day apart, they hatched on Crystal which was the game I really wanted them to hatch. Now they're a beautiful Shiny Espeon and Umbreon getting ready to wreck Morty when they’ve leveld up a bit more

I’m 11,700 SRs in (because of course I’m over odds again lol) however I’m taking a quick pause to set up my Electabuzz/Elekid egg hunt. Yo Mike, i recently put a new battery in my original Crystal cart and wanted to do a fun playthrough with all 3 starters with some possible shiny hunts (gave up on suicune and settled on one with better stats non-shiny, currently trying ho-oh but shiny also has bad stat avgs so idk and will worry about lugia soon)... anyway, since you can clone/dupe the Odd Egg (decent shiny% baby pokemon) i duped and hatched around 50 eggs and the ONLY shiny i got was an elekid, which i wanted it or smoochum/jynx for the playthrough. Lectabuzzy is a beazzzt! hope you got yours too! i named elekid 'Pikachwho?' to start :p

Hey! First off I’m so sorry to hear that... so annoying those boot leg copies are everywhere. If you are ever looking to buy a real one in the future, I typically go to eBay and look for copies that specifically say authentic. As for your copy, it should be able to still find shinies. Those boot legs are just SAV files copies from real games so everything in there should be the same. Lmk if you have any other questions!

In Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, when Eevee is at max happiness. You can only do so in those games because Fr/Lg doesn’t have a clock

NasusDKing xd great question! So you have to max out their happiness. Then you level them up and between noon and midnight, Eevee will evolve into espeon, and between midnight and noon Eevee will evolve into Umbreon. It needs to be done in R/S/E because fire red and leaf green don’t have an internal clock
