I’m so conflicted on this type of thing. On one hand I can appreciate that they enjoy themselves and are having fun doing something they love. On the other hand I firmly believe that growing up means we leave things from our childhood behind to move on into another stage of life. This is still very much playing dress up and make believe no matter how you want to paint it. To each their own but I can’t help cringe a little when I see stuff like this.

@@RonMerchant What a weird thing to say. I was just stating the obvious. Not really a “lighten up” type of vibe.

So. This is adulthood 2024. Never grow up, raise a family, build a house and go do productive stuff. Just use all your time "playing" and dressing up like your favourite characters from the computergames you spend all your free time on.

I work. I am raising two great kids (19 and 15). I also volunteer. I go to gencon annually. I am living my best life and am enjoying it.

Not adulthood. More like a reflection of western society's collapse. And with little effort.
