When you sew spandex, if you can, use an overlock or a surger. That way you can sew seams that stretch too. Otherwise, if that isnt an option, use the zig-zag stitch. It's the most stretch-friendly seam available on a normal sewing machine.

When sewing sequins or sparkly fabric- lube is your best friend! Must continue to lube up the needle. I sew way to many sequin outfits for friends not to know this. Stretchy sequins and stretchy sparkles need lube and a slight zig zag. You're welcome. Mumma to gaybies that Mardi Gras
