The only wives tale I tried when I was pregnant back in 2015 was the ring test & it indicated BOY. I had horrible all day sickness, ankle swelling, I waddled, had a huge belly AND carried super high. I always called the baby a boy starting @ 3 months bc I just had a feeling that I was having a boy. . Even b4 the ring test indicated boy. MY SON IS 2 YEARS OLD (Will be 3 years old in December). Idk if the wives tales do anything BUT I THINK THE WOMAN INSTINCTIVELY KNOWS THE SEX OF HER UNBORN BABY BY THE END OF THE FIRST TRIMESTER TO THE BEGINNING OF THE SECOND TRIMESTER. I KNEW I WAS HAVING A SON SEVERAL MONTHS B4 THE DOCTOR CONFIRMED. & I WAS SUPER EXCITED BC EVERY SOME I WAS A LIL GIRL, I ALWAYS WANTED A SON. I EVEN HAD A "REAL LIFE" BABY DOLL AS A CHILD THAT WAS A BOY THAT I NAMED JOSHUA when I was about 7-8yrs old. Also, in my elementary school year book we were asked some questions to answer. One was "do you want to be a mommy/daddy one day" & of course I answered yes. Next question was "do you want a boy or girl"? I answered boy. THEN we were asked "how old do you want to be when you become a mommy" & I answered 27yrs old. Guess what. I got pregnant @ 26yrs old & gave birth to my son 2 weeks after my 27th birthday! Just like I predicted as a child.

I wanted a boy so bad but kept having a gut feeling it was a girl, and my gut was right! And going by your chart, most of them would've lined up for a girl for me, so I'll be surprised if you're having a boy! Either way, I'm excited for you because a baby is such a blessing!!

We always did a needle on a piece of thread. You hold the threaded needle over your wrist and it will either move up and down or in a circle. I forget which way is which sex though. We stopped doing that because it definitely is true that you can tell by the heart rate. I told my best friend what she was having at her very first appointment. She didn't believe me, but I was right and she was shocked.

There’s a pencil test that will tell you what you’re having! It’s never been wrong in 5 generations in my family! You take a sharpened pencil, tie a thread around the eraser part...hold your wrist out, and let the pencil hang about an inch above your wrist and let it get steady! It will start moving on its own...left to right is a girl and back and forth is a boy! It will stop and go to show how many other children and their sexes...if it goes in a circle its twins

Hi Madi, I’m 20 weeks now. All the symptoms shows that I’m having a girl but in FACT I’m having a boy! So this old wives tales doesn’t apply in my case bcoz I tested this earlier n was very sure I’m having a girl. Lol. It’s the opposite! Haha. Enjoy your pregnancy ☺️

BUT the 2 things that definitely were true was the heartbeat (my baby's heart rate was always above 140) and the pee test -they say if ur pee is yellow, its a boy; if its clear, it's a girl :) Congrats !!!
