I don't see the comment anymore, but somebody mentioned there was an octave divider back then that was in vogue. I can't find the brand/model. I think guitarists used it, and sax players borrowed it.

@@HanksJazz With octave key held down, he could "bend down" with the mouth, to a full octave down. He had that much "voice-control."
