2.0 mode, paper move from 130Hz to 30Hz it's great ! sound on this system does so very loud ! I've read the specifications on Edifier website and the high frequency go to 40Khz with great planar diaphragm tweeter for more clarity sound ! woowww !

Overall, apart from wireless sub, how are these better compared to the s350?
@DnDTeas

that looks wonderful. the speakers are rated for 40HZ lowest, how can they go down all the way to 15HZ ? is it even audible at around 20-25 HZ ?
@yowandbm
@yowandbm 4 жыл бұрын
It goes deep down but output drops significantly so it's not audible. It ia chesty but not much since output in dB is low.

Do you know what is the crossover point between subwoofer and satellites? It is fixed since there is no any adjusting on the subwoofer, so I'm wondering at what frequency. There's just no info anywhere. s350db is at around 160Hz.
@AbsoluteFidelity
@AbsoluteFidelity 3 жыл бұрын
A bit lower since the sats on the 360 can go down lower than the sats on the 350. It now crosses over at 135 which is still bad.
@yowandbm
@yowandbm 3 жыл бұрын
@@AbsoluteFidelity it's a double edged sword. High crossover gives very full bodied sound which I like. But at the same time can muddy midrange. I think neither of those satellites aren't good on their own, bass would be nonexistent.
@AbsoluteFidelity

@@yowandbm hence why its better to get something like the R2850DB and pair it up with a sub. The 360 sounds more 'hifi' than the 350 though. Bass of those satellites will sound something between the r1280db and r1700db

@@AbsoluteFidelity I listened s360db and they do sound better overall. I tend to agree although I didn't hear them.

@@yowandbm its because of that crossover and tweeter. But its 50% more expensive than the 350 here. And dont forget the 351... damn edifier.

subwoofer only down to 40 hz ? That's still not good, I wish them see go to 30 or even 20hz. Yes, I know some people won't even hear that, but (not sure how to say that), they will feel it. BTW, anything smaller to sit near 2.1 speakers ? Subwoofer under the table, satellites on each side. They must provide 20-30Hz still.

Hah, good question. I'm also looking for a good sub that would go as low as possible. By accident, I also bought Presonus 2.0 set and...well....started from 70Hz and resulted in a headache after one hour. If you find anything good (maybe also for heavier music?) please let me know. And not the funny part...look at this one, it's cheap but specs say about 20Hz www.trust.com/en/product/22944-gxt-629-tytan-rgb-illuminated-2-1-speaker-set I owned other 2.1 set from Trust some time ago and must say I wasn't disappointed - it played metal pretty good.

To have high output in dB/audible and chesty bass at 20Hz you need to give $€ for the sub alone as for this whole 2.1 system. That costs. But I think that you might benefit only in movies, if you listen very very loud. For music this right on spot!

@@adamwalter2573 you could pair Presonus speakers with Presonus sub, for example if you have E4.5 or E5 you can get Presonus T8 or T10 and it will be awesome... for music T8 should be enough because i dont know about songs that go to 20hz... some songs, mainly electronic music for example DnB may go down to about 30hz but it is not very common but its nice to hear that low part is your sub can handle it Here are two examples: Pendulum - 9000 miles, in this song it goes very low but its that low that you dont even hear it if you are in the same room where you are listening but you would hear it in another room, i cant hear it on my headphones that much because its just like somewhere in the background, S360DB cannot reproduce it Pendulum - The Other side, in this song it goes low too but not that much and you can hear it because its not that low and "just in the background", S360DB can reproduce it which was a surprise for me because i think it goes lower than 40hz and i can hear it nicely... but wont get just cut at 40hz, it goes lower but theres drop off for example you get 80db at 40hz but you get 50 or 40 db at 35hz, from what i tested S360DB goes to 33hz but you have that drop off from 40hz i had cheaper sub that could handle lower frequencies but its not real bass, with more expensice sub its just more precise, its not rumble, its bass, its hard to explain, i didnt know how to imagine that when i read about it, i thought "bass is bass" but when i heard more expensive sub i heard that difference and now i understand im using S360DB as desktop speakers and im very happy with them, i heard S350DB too but they lack lower mids a lot and a punch is missing too, when i compared S350DB vs S360DB in this song TheFatRat - MAYDAY feat. Laura Brehm, it was night and day difference... S360DB are tuned a bit heavy on bass so you have to turn it down (there is a bass knob so no problem) but it depends on room too so Presonus T8 should be good for music and T10 go lower but i dont know about songs that go that low that T8 would not handle it, you would benefit with T10 (it goes to 20hz) in movies for example beginning of Edge of Tomorrow, you would shake the room with it
