I purchased my first Gene doll a few months ago and I am in love with her! The quality of these dolls and their fashions are exquisite. The ''Warmest Wishes'' doll is on top of my want list. I love her style and her lovely auburn hair. She has that 1940-1950's vibes. Congratulations on your addition of these beautiful dolls! 🥰

Beautiful dolls from Mel Odom! I have only one Gene doll but would like to add a few more to my collection. I am a retired flight attendant & use to shop at FAO Schwartz in New York & San Francisco every Christmas season on layovers. The store had a fabulous doll department. So happy for you & your new additions to your collection.

I just came across this and I must say it was lovely! I felt like I was right there with you opening up the dolls. I think the Gene dolls are a breath of fresh air from Barbie, although I am a Barbie collector. I have 2 Gene dolls, one she is dress in an Egyptian costume. The dolls are in a box and after seeing you unbox your dolls, makes me want to bring mine back out and display. I really enjoyed your video! I especially liked how you made Gene walk against the window, that was so cute and funny. I do things like that! True doll lovers!!

Hi Cathy, thank you for your lovely comments! That’s neat that you have Gene dolls too. They are a lot larger than Barbie. To me the 16” fashion dolls are like Barbies for adults! I do have a few Barbies as well and honestly I love most dolls. I’m so happy you found my channel. 🥰

Uh oh you're hooked now! I have a few Gene dolls including Madra and Trent. I think there are two other characters in this line. These dolls are gorgeous and well made. Enjoy them. I really love the FAO one, you did well choosing her. Madam Alexander had a 16" fashion doll line that is really nice also. There is a basic Gene with bendable knees in different hair colors so you can dress in all of the extra fashions.

Maybe! I wouldn't mind adding a Madra and Trent to my collection. I just love all the fashions. It would be nice to find one that is more articulated as well. Mine are early, so their knees and elbows don't bend at all.
