I think that Gene wasn't prepared enough for this loop battle, I say that because he used mostly 2/3 of he's time each round, and he used mostly the "same" sounds in his 2nd round, but since Gene I haven't seen somebody makes harmony with beatbox so fast, that's one of it's best qualities on loop, the problem is that he doesn't arrive to "put some more stuff on" and, for an incredible potential, it's just the same thing with some bass to make it "drop". I'm not saying it's boring, personaly I just love his prestations, very light, harmonic, almost seems intuitive the way he does his routines, but if he could make it evolve (filters, reverb, reverse etc...) we could have what's missing. To describe myself, i'll take the exemple of Dharni : 1st round : Yeah dude continue like that it's awesome !! 2nd round : Still good but it's almost your first round...should add more cool things... Who is amazed by the first round, heavy'n y'all, and with the 2nd...well it's good but... I'm still hungry bro...

You're not really helping yourself, he did little with the loopstation in his first round, and in the second, he did maybe twice as good as the first, which is basically average, his rapping was his main focus, when it should be looping, notice how Gene didn't even SPEAK during his rounds, just steady looping. It's a beatbox battle. Not a rap battle.

What did I just watch? This battle wasnt even close. This might be the single biggest robbery I have watched in beatbox history, and I can remember some crimes in this judging scene. How did Gene not win. There is not a catagory I would have given to the other man. I am shocked. What were the judges listening to? Technique, clarity, flow, musicality, originality, everything went in Genes direction. Darian had weak beatboxing skills, and wasnt impressive on the lop station. Im really confused on this one.

Great battle. Good talent from both. I think Darian showed a certain amount of musicality and tonality missing from Gene's dirty but clean EDM vibe. I can see why this vote could split.
