Years ago when i was quite a bit younger and lived in San Angelo, Texas, I used to hear Gene Watson's voice and songs on the radio or other country music places. I knew nothing about him really. I didn't even know what he looked like or where he came from, but I was very drawn to his voice combined with his great songs. His voice was very appealing and very authentic sounding. His songs really pulled on your heart and although I don't like being sad, his songs touched on something very basic that many of us experience. Great voice and wonderful songs
