Newborns and Tongue Tie - in the first few days of life, usually when you are still in the hospital/newborn nursery
How do we evaluate a possible tongue tie?
What is the potential impact on breastfeeding?
What is the procedure like to release the tongue tie?

I disagree about no pain relief.. our 2 day old and 4 year old who both got lasered both showed extreme discomfort the first few days.

This make feel so better I am going to the hospital tomorrow morning because I just checked now is like my 4 months old has tongue tie because she can’t breast feed well she always vomit immediately after breastfeeding her pediatrician when they control them they don’t check their mouth properly I have been very bothered about this I am rushing to the hospital tomorrow morning for them to remove it because I don’t want anything that will affect her speech in the future

I’ve also read that tongue tie can affect you as an adult or affect you with headaches back aches and low appetite for certain textures. Have you heard of this?

Would you recommend doing the procedure again if after it was snip and baby Is feeding well still has a heart shape on the tip?

It really boils down to how it looks, and what else may be going on. It is difficult, however, to make a strong case to do a procedure when the baby is feeding well.

What if the tongue can not be in the correct position that's against the roof of the upper jaw because he is tongue tied

Whether or not the tongue can reach is only partially related to the frenulum. It also depends on the rest of the tongue, mouth, palate anatomy. And also the muscle tone and flexibility or stretchiness of the tongue muscles themselves. It's about how everything fits together structurally, and how everything moves dynamically. There is no simple, blanket statement that can be made.
