The Propane Tank Regulator is All you Need and Run a Hose straight to Fitting in Breather of Generator, you can use any small gas Valve to Find the Sweet Spot on Running the Engine--as guy is showing, you need to run Generator as close to 60 cycles as you can--this is the setting for All Power Plant Generators...

I was thinking the same. The bbq regulator already drops to 6oz and the small engine regulator doesn't open and close based off of vacuum pressure volume but just on off. So it is basically just an auto on off and it only starts once so ya. Even if its shuts off it's only leaking 6 oz line not a big deal. I will know it's not running since I will be sitting in the dark or not hear the gen running.

hey try running the spud adjustment screw a bit richer.. this is a good argument for the honda eu series inverter generators!! on the honda eu series they use a stepper motor to control the speed.. and the FQ is controlled inside the inverter as digital... so all you have to deal with is the rich lean on the load block adjustment.. see the honda forum over at yahoo groups, there is a eu7000i forum as well as a eu2200i forum. lots of good info over there on tri fuel!!

Since the gov is connected to the carb... and your bypassing the carb with the kit... you would get better frequency adjustments by adjusting the load block on top of the vacuum manifold you just installed... good luck... enjoy...

Hope you got it running better. That drops off too much with only a 1500 watt load. It almost seems like you lost a lot of engine power. Next step would be to run on gasoline to observe the difference between the two. Lately (2016) the arrangement you have is not necessary. Now you just buy a tri fuel carb that cost less than your regulator, do the 5 minute install and you are done. When I did mine I was worried about the power loss but testing proved there was little if any power loss with 90% load tests.

Hey, are you referring to an entire replacement carburetor that also has a propane/NG hookup or do you mean some type of kit that gets added to your existing carb? Just as a reference so I can search on it, how much did the conversion cost you? If you have a link to the product, that'd be great. Mine is a DEK 6500 (Chinese) generator.

I don't understand how you're getting enough vacuum signal to activate the regulator. The spud end is virtually in open air.

@@platinumsky845 lol no im fine i have cap locks on so i can see better lol bad eyes and you were explaining how ebay works everyone knows how they work unless u live under a rock they never made one for my gen but i found a co. that did most of the ebay kits are up to 6000 wats mine is 7500 the co. vpower makes kits for a lot of bigger gens it was $90 bucks for the kit with the carb and all the hookups .
