I don't think you realize just how difficult it is for planes to have internet. They need to use high orbit satellites for internet which are both expensive and have high latency due to them being so far from you. Things like 4G don't work when you're 35,000 feet in the air going 600 mph. Not to mention if you're over an ocean/desert/uninhabited zone there wouldn't be any mobile networks either. Hopefully low orbit internet satellites will fix the speed issues (they theoretically could be faster than cable with lower latency) and be cheaper.
