Videos are so helpful! Any idea how to book earlier tests on ICBC…Good times available at 12AM but gone 5 seconds later

Hey Wes! Thanks for your comment! Yeah I would recommend the same thing. Check 4 times a day every day. Once in the morning, once at lunch, once at dinner and once at midnight. I know it sounds excessive but if you want to look for a sooner date you'll need to check often. Good luck!

@@SenSenDrivingSchool Whats a good time of day to choose for a test in Richmond? Thanks
@SenSenDrivingSchool2 жыл бұрын
@@sroy9789 Hey I generally recommend the morning, between 9am and 1130am. At this time, if you're unlucky it can take 4-6 months to book a road test so make sure you get on it!

Hello, I recently took the test at Lansdowne and this video was extremely helpful for passing on my second attempt! Just to note, I got demerit for driving in the middle of the lane in cramped streets, so unfortunately while I think that during normal driving its a good idea, it might be best to stay in the right lane during the actual test.

This video is great with the exception that you can't see the road, markings or signs due to the sun. I hope you learn how to deal with this issue for future videos because your commentary and tips are top notch.

Hi there.I have a question which is really confusing. Does the "first come first go" principle apply to two way stop signs? If yes,could you tell me the reference that says so. If not? what's the principle. In Richmond,there are many intersections with two way stop signs and the two stop signs and perpendicular to each other(like the two River Road intersection(the north-southbound River Road is the one off the no.2 road)). In your "part 2 of Richmond Lansdowne" video there are also two stop signs that are perpendicular to each other. According to the "learn to drive smart,your guide to drive safely" page 45,it says"If 2 vehicles are stopped at a two-way stop and one of the drivers wants to turn left,this driver must yield the right of way to the other vehicle(in the picture,the other vehicle means the going straight vehicle).The only exception is if the left-turning vehicle is already in the intersection and has started to make the turn.In this case,the other vehicle must yield"
@SenSenDrivingSchool3 жыл бұрын
Hey Tom, 2 way stop intersections: One street has the stop signs and the cross street will not have them. Of course the street without the stop signs have the right of way and proceed with caution. And if you have the stop sign then, of the 2 cars that have the stop sign, whoever arrives first gets to go first. If they arrive at the same time, the person going straight gets to go before the person turning left. In the case of the Richmond video, of the two cars who have the stop sign, the first person to arrive first will get to go first. Hope this helps! And if you still need additional help then feel free to reach out to us.

Hi, just a question, on Landsdowne when you turn left onto Garden City, if there are pedestrians crossing am I allowed to leave the intersection and wait in the middle while they cross or should I pause at the intersection and wait until they've made it across and then start the left turn?
@SenSenDrivingSchool2 жыл бұрын
Hey Nidhi! Thanks for the message! For that left turn, if someone is crossing the street, I would roll forward and put myself on the third line. It is important to keep your steering wheel straight while you wait. Don't tilt it. Wait until the pedestrian is safely across before moving again. There are 2 lanes that turn left at the intersection, I would recommend you do the same in either lane while you wait for the pedestrian. Hope this helps!

Hey! I have my test coming in the next 3 days and I was wondering if they take off marks for hand positionings? Especially when turning, I know a lot of people do the push and pull method but I personally am a lot more comfortable with the hand over hand method. Will that affect my test?
@SenSenDrivingSchool2 жыл бұрын
Hey Elaine! I always recommend the hand over hand method. Ive made a video for that one. Hope it helps! Good luck on your test!

Do you have to keep scanning for signs so you see them or will you naturally see them?i am scared that i will miss them either way
@SenSenDrivingSchool Жыл бұрын
Yes, you should always scan ahead to see the signs. It would also be beneficial to you to keep practicing in the area of your road test. I've made videos for Point Grey, Kingsway, Burnaby Lougheed and Richmond Lansdowne areas.

I have a question what it’s the speed limit at alley like neighbour hood?
@SenSenDrivingSchool2 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew! Thanks for the message. Not sure if you were asking about alleys or residential streets because they're different. The max speed limit in alleys is 20km/h unless otherwise posted. The max speed limit in residential streets is 50km/h unless otherwise posted. A reminder speed limits are a max and NOT a min. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi Alex,what’s the ideal speed if max speed limit is 50km,is it ok for speed of 47-52 maintaining speed is not easy.

Hi, i have a road test on Saturday. Is school zone in effect or I can do 50km/hr?
@SenSenDrivingSchool Жыл бұрын
Hey @charmainemagno4891, thanks for your message. Hope your test went well. You have to look at the school zone sign and see what the words say. There are some school zones that specify a time on school days and there are other signs that say the school zone is in effect "At all times". So you will need to make sure you are paying attention to the sign and follow accordingly. Hope this helps! Thanks

Are school zones and playground to be followed on weekends as well? Or do I drive 50km in a school zone during weekend?
@SenSenDrivingSchool Жыл бұрын
You'll need to read the sign, some say "school days", some say "At all times". Follow the signs according. Hope this helps! Also playground zones are different, they are in effect dawn to dusk EVERYDAY.

@@SenSenDrivingSchool great Thanks! Also are playgrounds always 30km? I notice some playground signs without 30km speed sign. Would this just be 50km with cautious of preparing to stop?

School zones are in effect on school days. So on weekends they are not in effect, however they are sometimes in small neighborhoods and you should still be cautious when driving in or around school zones.
