Ooh, R-410A. Not a bad refrigerant. Surprised your unit has lasted this long. The OEM of GE appliances is usually Haier. They bought out GE's appliance section of products a while back, and now they manufacture appliances for GE.

good video bro good to see that some modern day equipment actually work good and a long period of time i enjoyed the video

The Dehumidifier is very likely made by Haier because of the Rechi compressor, as Haier heavily relied on them since from the R22 era to the current R32 era.

I agree, Haier seems to be behind the majority of GE applies at this point.

If you are afraid of modern appliances burning down a house, you can plug it into an arc fault protected outlet and it will save your house from fires.

Hey, I noticed the battery seemed low on your thermometer, and I'm thinking that might impact the accuracy of the temperature readings. Sometimes, when the battery runs low, the displayed temperature might not be entirely accurate. This could explain why the thermometer showed 122 degrees while you felt it was hotter.

Galvanic corrosion on the evaporator is the number one killer of these. If I bought one I’d put primer on the coil ends. Not to mention that buzzy compressor sounds horrible. They’re cooled by refrigerant not air so I suppose it’s alright for it to be in a separate compartment but yet they run so hot.

Are there service valves on these to evacuate and add new refrigerant? If not how would you service a unit that leaked out?
