Well, of course, he would have told it - if only to himself - many times since and obviously put in references to historical and cultural facts he wouldn't have known as a boy. So it's not good or worthwhile testimony when he isn't asked to use the language of 6 or 7 yr old. That's just the way it is. But the true values of personal testimony is the factual information that comes from it that can then support other claims (in this or other events) with overlapping features of concepts.

All of my life I have certain childhood memories. One was about breaking my arm, another is about being stung by a swarm of bees, another was about an encounter with a water moccasin. I’ve had these memories all my life. I don’t know why, but because of the clarity of these memories in my mind I’d assumed I was 6/7 years old. As I got older I realized these memories of incidents on my grand mother’s farms were from when I was 4/5 years old because I no longer lived on that farm by the time I was 6. I’d returned to NYC to live with my mom and start 1st grade. I reminded my uncle who was an adult at the time of the snake incident and that my grandmother upon his return from work that day had him pull up the tree stump the snake came from under and that he’d set the stump on fire with kerosene. I even told him he had a friend of his come over to help him pull the stump. He had no memory of the incident at all. So if I can recall these 3 incidents with clarity, I have no problem believing someone who saw a UFO with aliens at 5/6, that they’d have clear memories of the encounter..
