Three rules for scary Greivous: 1. Have his combat utilize his rotational multi-limbed nature to make him a unique foe. 2. Don't have him talk so much - allows for better "show don't tell" and keeps him from devolving into his "Mwahaha die Jedi scum! Hahaha! *coughing*" routine from the early Clone Wars seasons. 3. He is a general, don't have him rely on his droids as a crutch, but as a tool. Safe to say this scene accomplished all those rules.
@tronovonflidder775Ай бұрын
1. Yeah it's nice to see his abilities used in full form. I'll give you that. 2. I like him talking, his personality & attitude is crazy good. So I disagree. He was probably only quiet here since the fight was so easy, he was simply relishing in her struggles. But for the most part, I don't want him to be another Darth Vader. 3. I mean, I don't think he ever really NEEDS his droids in a fight. He does use them as tools sometimes. And every example I can think of where it's looked like he, "needed them," he didn't actually. For example, during the Eeth Koth fight, even if Koth did land a lightsaber strike on Grievous, he'd just tank it.

@@vladlenvolkov9034 It's probably the closest we'll get to 2003 version. There are aspects that wouldn't really work with how this CW is compared to 2003. For example: General physical prowess of basically everyone in 2003 was way higher (Windu fistfighting an entire army of B2s, Grievous chasing down an elevator by running down the side of a building) This version of Grievous has already shown that he has his classic lung problems so it's safe to assume that he wouldn't even be able to achieve the strength and agility of 2003 version. What does come close to the 2003 version is him not talking until he's done fighting and using his body in more inventive way during combat. Look kids. We finally met an army that is undeniably worse than the Battle Droids. Think about it, if you connect this to the original clone wars episode, they had every advantage you could offer: Knowledge of their home turf. Impeded terrain. Knowledge of Droid army tactics. Concealed (high) positions. A LITERAL UNDEAD ARMY. Ventress. Their "magic". And yet... they did everything to nullify those advantages: Openly engaging the droid armies in one mass attack. Giving up their concealed (higher) positions to fight the droids head on. Fighting lines of coordinated Droid laser fire with laser "bows" and traditional weapons rushing at them. Their undead army had no weapons of their own and had to also rush the enemy to do anything. Ventress didn't kill Grievous (she couldn't have, we know this, but still it counts as a fumble on her part). None of the other sisters used the magic other than the mother and she was too busy "playing with dolls" instead of just finishing Dooku off in seconds and then driving off the Droid army with her powers (again, we know Dooku had plot armor here but it still counts as a HUGE TACTICALLY ×××× UP WHEN IT RESULTS IN HER SPECIES BEING NEARLY RENDERED EXTINCT.
