I heard a pod cast in the summer of 2022 with Finola. She mentioned her initial contract was only for 3 months. Anna came on the scene in April 1985 and would have been gone by the end of July. When the show knew that Emma Samms was leaving for Dynasty, they offered FH a 3 year contract. So, the fake scar originally was just something to torment Robert with. Changing it to a penance was an awkward transition in the plot, but they had to start getting viewers to like Anna since FH was staying. Then in this storyline a child was put in to give Robert a reason to stay in town until Tristan's contract ended in December 1985. {Anna didn't display a maternal bone in her body in the treasure story line} On another note, I am glad to see I am not the only one that feels Anna should have been taken to be older than Finola's actual age. When Anna first entered in April 1985, I took her to be in her early thirties. Robert would not have been having sex on a mission with a 17/18- year -old.

she played it more villianous which she actually did pretty well but it kind of interesting to see them flip it to give more dimensions to the character and given her spy background I would expect her to try to hide that aspect of herself completely.

@@Jim-oo7dk Fair point. I suppose I should have phrased that differently. Anna was the one who came up with the ruse of being a honeymoon couple. Point being Anna had been on previous missions with other agents before Robert therefore she would likely have been older than 17/18 when she was paired with Robert. (But if Robert was knowingly having sex with a teenager that only brings my opinion of him lower than it already was with the introduction of Anna Devane)

I think the Anna character was supposed to be older than Finola Hughes was at the time. Finola was only 25 years old here. They dressed her and made her act older. Also, in later episodes she talks about Patrick as being "young" and also when Frisco was a training cop he clearly was supposed to be younger while she was the "head of police". In reality, I think Jack Wagner was a year older than her. HA HA.

I like the scene in the beginning with Buzz and Anna...he was way out of his league, but it was nice to see that she was the object of someone's affections after Robert. It catches Anna off-guard, the thought of another man in her life...thank goodness it turned out to be Duke!

Yes, they showed it when they flashed back to why Anna and Robert broke up... she was hurt in an explosion.

Robert is lying, Bert did not ask him to go to Anna's. He just wanted to see her one last time. He could've told her about Sean over the phone.
