General Hospital: Alan & Monica Come Clean About Rick's Murder

1/23/07-After Dillon & Lulu begin to investigate Rick Webber's murder, Alan & Monica come clean to each other and really discuss what happened the night he died. Alan believes Monica did it, while Monica believes Alan did it.

Monica told Rick he was the father of AJ even though she knew he was not and almost destroyed both marriages. It was a huge part of the 1979-1980 season. The acting was great and Charlene was excellent. The best parts are available under Monica and Rick end if the affair. Alan destroyed their relationship amazingly well.

I used to watch General hospital when I was in high school. I didn't realize he was the Prince in the Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella! Wow, was he one handsome Prince when he was a young guy! I just found that on KZbin and watch the whole movie!

I thought Rick married Ginny Blake? And Rock was a good guy.. How is he now a bad guy?? Why re write history kind of insulting to viewers that are(were) loyal to the show.

@@d1malcriao Rick and Ginny did marry, and both left the show in 1986 (their characters moved to Omaha). They even had a child together, Rick Jr, before they left. None of them were seen onscreen until 2002 when Rick returned, and we were told he and Ginny divorced off-screen, though to be fair, given that Lesley wasn't really dead, his marriage to Ginny would have been invalid anyway. Still, while Rick came back, only to be killed off, Ginny and Rick Jr have never been seen again on the show since 1986.

@djmyers71 Actually, I know the history very well. Alan and Monica are the reason I am a GH fan and have been since 1977. My comment was referring to this clio and this time period...when Guza and co. rewrote history and made it that Monica and Rick had an affair AGAIN back in 2002 before his death (this time off screen).

After watching this I've come to realize that Stuart Damon would be a completely acceptable recast for Stefano Dimera on Days since Joseph Mascolo is dead but they've decided to keep the character alive just never on screen

@MsTexas73 Ohhhhhh....but you must not realize that Rick Webber and Monica DID indeed have an affair that happened in the 80's. It was years an years ago begore this episode. I was glad they brought Rick back. What really sucks is, that when they brought him back, the writers turned Rick Webber into some kind of a monster bad guy. Very dissapointing, because Rick was cooool back in the day. I'lll NEVER understand why the writers did that to him.

1964ghfan Scotty allegedly did it. But Laura was made to believe she did it and that is how she had a nervous breakdown and ended up in Shady Brooke. It was a garbage storyline all the way around because after the whole Dorman situation, and also after Alan’s CLOSE relationship with Bobbie and Tammy, Monica would have never cheated on Alan...not even with Rick Webber. And Alan had made it clear he only wanted Monica by that point. Also to bring Rick back only to kill Off the character was just wrong. He should have long been brought back when Lesley first came back in the first place. THAT situation should have been dealt with accordingly. What Giza did with SEVERAL storylines in 2002 was just criminal.

This was one of the worst stories ever written on this show. Turning good guy Rick into an evil, greedy maniac, suggesting another affair between him and Monica that was never shown, Laura being scared of Rick, and, finally Scotty killing Rick. What a way to completely obliterate history and so many legacy characters and families.

Yeah the writers totally messed up with inventing this so-called new affair between Rick and Monica in 2002. Monica and Alan never did stray after the Dorman and Alan's drug addiction storylines.

No, Scott killed Rick Webber was a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. He was portrayed by Michael Gregory from 1976 - 1978, and by Chris Robinson from 1978 - 1986, and again briefly in 2002, when the character was killed by Scott Baldwin
