Reading those ingredients, use double extra care in keeping humidity out of the bag if it starts to get even a little damp the magnesium and calcium will start binding with phosphates and sulfates to make more precipitates than can redissolve in a reasonable time. Double layer of sealed bags with a few table spoons of anhydrous calcium sulfate between the bags may be needed in particularly humid climates.(either cool or warm. Also change out the desiccant every few months or bag openings, it is rechargeable in a 400-450f oven for 1-2 hours, lower temp won't drive out all the moisture in reasonable time and much over 450f will cause a permanent deactivation.)

Great info on storage. Could you also just use silica desiccant instead?
@mytech67792 жыл бұрын
@@moongloomable no, silica gel is a very weak adsorbent and only has high capacity at high humidity. Silica is faster reacting, but does not achieve low enough vapor pressure and it is directly reversible. Good for preventing simple condensation at modest to low temperatures but silica won't compete with many of the deliquescent salts and will only act as a temporary reservoir of moisture. The hydrating salts such as sulfates, are absorbents and form an actual bond with water so they are not directly reversible under storage conditions [they need to be heated to specific temperatures] They are also much stronger as measured in capacity vs vapor pressure. (Can still achieve full absorbing capacity at relative humidity below 1%) Deliquescent salts run a wide range of relative humidity, depending on the exact salt. They have huge water capacity but are also messy slurries. They are also reversible like silica so often used for maintaining a specific target humidity rather than simple drying. Used for situations like archives and museum cases when active humidity control isn't practical.

People need to realize, for just one example, there is no such thing as "organic" nitrogen or any other nitrogen or basic element source. Nitrogen is nitrogen. It is an element (atomic #7 on the periodic table), not a mixture of worm dirt, fairy dust, and unicorn manure. The element nitrogen is EXACTLY the same, no matter the source. The plant doesn't care where that element comes from, it just wants the nitrogen.

Yes, this should be fine as long as you keep that water aerated while your waiting to use it. This will keep things regulated nicely.

I first bought this stuff a couple years ago: now it's all I use along with the flowering companion that goes with it. I've had some really good success with it, and it simplifies things so that I can still grow even with my disabilities. I'm wanting to do some Kratky hydro for lettuces, but not sure how I would calculate the nutes to carry it through the entire grow cycle (the goal with Kratky being to not have to change out the reservoir on these short life cycle plants: at most you might add plain water once or twice). Obviously for lettuces I will only need to use the regular Maxigro, unlike with my other plants. I am planning to grow a small variety of lettuces that should need no more than 6 weeks and as little as a month. Thanks for any help you can give.

I would give your plants 1 or 2 watering before you start giving Maxi Grow. Then when you start your 1st feeding start with a quarter to a half of the recommended dose and slowly work up! Have a great Grow Bro

i want to try hydro gardening for vegetables, fruits, and herbs. I built a ebb and flow unit with two seperate systems. I plan to have one for leafy non-fruiting greens and one for fruiting. Where can I find charts for when and to what ratio to use MaxiGro and MaxiBloom according to what I'm growing?
The issue with hydroponics is you have to pay for "plant food" or nutrition and supplements that are pricey.
@lachimaye843110 жыл бұрын
Aquaponics combines the most effective components of Hydroponics And Aquaculture therefore greatly reduce pricing and also increase efficiency. You may get the most efficient aquaponics system right here: help1.info/best-aquaponics-plan

First off if you can grow biologically alive, that will always be preferred! If you have to use Plant Food you always have to consider your ROI. A lot of product can be produced off $100 of plant food. It might be more than Home Depot brands, but trust me it is a cleaner plant food then a big box stores. Just look at the back of the bottle and see the different types of fertilizer they are putting in the bottle. Sometime I have see up to 4 types of nitrogen, Ask yourself why there are four types of nitrogen when in nature nitrogen exist only as a gas!
@eyeswideshut28007 жыл бұрын
Lachi Maye $17 bucks and a teaspoon a gallon goes a loooong way. Gardening is time consuming either way, Bio, Aqua, Aero, soil etc etc, they all have pros and cons and require some monitoring or tending. How organic is everything anyway, you can catch rain water and it's been produced from chemical cloud seeding ie., chemtrails that we all witness daily. As long as our greedy evil governments exist your footprint means nothing but we all try. My mission is to get healthy, fresh and non toxic food in my body because you'd have to be Amish to get past things like plastic. How many products are in your home alone, are your walls painted, is anything sealed, is your roof tarred, what color shirt are you wearing and where did the dye come from...ijs
