It is rather strange how many people have asked what year this was: The title of the video gives you the month and year, while the first line of the description box gives the precise date i.e. including the day of the week. That is the way virtually all the videos on this channel are presented.

First you have to think where the description box is. Next you have to click there. Then you have to look at the text and read it then decide whether to complain or not. Nah that's too hard. Easier to complain.

This really takes me back. I was twenty in 1973, living in a single room in Naivasha, six months into my new job at the water department, tusker beer costing sh. 2.30, a packet of Embassy 2.00, a kilo of beef at 1.60, petrol at 1.20 a ltr, and my house rent at 120.00 a month. And my pay at the end of the month? 360.00. Those were the days!!

Memories is good sometimes I was just 48 years of age while enjoying the event with Mzee Kenyatta and FM Idii Amin Dada. It was Avery enjoyable moment when the weather itself was food and people use to love one another and Kenya was very very great nation. Idi tortured Obote and others we need to eliminate that kind of leadership in Africa especially in Uganda presidents cling on power for long
@adeyinkamakinde6164
@adeyinkamakinde6164 3 жыл бұрын
@ don cornelius, I am not aware of Amin torturing Obote himself, but he certainly did persecute Obote supporters. I should also remind you that when Obote came back to power in the 1980s, his human rights abuses were equal to, or likely exceeded those of Amin. I think most, including myself, would agree with your sentiment about eliminating cruel and overlong periods in office. Museveni appears to be still holding power after many decades.

Get your facts right. Obote was out of the country the entire time Amin was president. He was in power for only 8 years i.e 1971-1979.
@mulondokalemera7531
@mulondokalemera7531 3 жыл бұрын
When did General Amin (put some respect on his name) torture Obote? And since when is Obote a saint? If anything, he was responsible for both Amin and Museveni, and the mess we are in today. Museveni's politics is basically a mature version of Obote's politics; Museveni is probably the best student of Obote.
