I definitely feel ya when you had too short of a engine hoist. Helped my buddy take out an engine out of a 97 wrangler with a engine hoist that maxed out at a 90° angle. We were lucky we were on a car hoist so we took off all tires and lowered it until the brakes were a inch off the ground. Only from there we had about a half of an inch clearance from the oil pan to the car.

Sweet Vid, Eric. Not surprised the parts store stand didnt work for the engine. We dabbed our own back in the day for BB Chevys and BB Mopars. We also added some more bracing for the weight of those monsters! Cant wait for the next video.

Yo Eric, just sending some support from the great midwest! I know how ya feel man, I helped a buddy pull a 302 outta his F150, and that was one of the most frustrating times I've had trying to pull a motor. It took us about a week to finally get the engine out! Super glad it didn't take you that long man. But at the same time, u pulled a motor from a Dodge and I pulled one from a Ford, so you were bound to get that motor out quicker and easier lol. All I know is that's the last time I'm pulling an engine from a Ford lol.

As a KZbin expert who has never owned a Charger, I know you can take the engine and trans out by disconnecting the k-member and lifting the front of the car up to get your drive train out.
